They would only need to sign really 5 more players and fill out the rest with minimum contracts.

You could find someone else to ship Beasley to if the Raps did not want him. He is pretty good talent wise and maybe will straighten out.

Bosh to Miami, Lebron to Chicago or NJ? All good for us....

nope, since bosh and wade have same agent supposidly its allowed.

dont worry, bosh sucks. his numbers are inflated because no one on that raptors team could rebound. expect his rebound numbers to drop if playing next to yao. he is not a bruiser or inside guy. frankly,i dont know why morey is interested at all.. but then again, morey liked dorsey so morey can be wrong

how hillarious would that be if wade for whatever reason decides to leave and this deal goes though and lebron is elsewhere

chris bosh + no one else??

i mean the heat would have like 34 million in cap space to spend but would need an entire roster from that who are they gonna attract then.

even with just wade and bosh and 16 million which FAs are gonna want to sign there that cheap?

if it was all 3 i can see some older FAs taking the min but a whole team like that? unlikely

I just don't understand how teams are not allowed to talk to free agents before 1 July, but there are report like these keep popping up.

Teams and agents/players communicate indirectly via go-betweens.

No first rd picks, so no slot holds.
9 unused roster slots = $4.5M in cap holds
    Salary cap at $56M
Moving out the remaining contracts *should* mean they could sign 3 guys to deals starting at $17.1M

Others can correct me if anything here is off.

and if they didn't get lucky with the drafting and development of Rondo, they would have had a much tougher time winning a championship. Miami wouldn't have 1/2 the defense of the Celtics with Bron/Wade/Bosh as the Celts did. But, if Miami signs a few minimum wage vets would can play, then they'll be dominant.

-whoops, this has all been said before.

I got to imagine if the Heat and Raptors are negotiating the exact details of a sign and trade, including all players involved, by using go-betweens, David Stern would still have issue with this...

...cause you might as well then not have the rule at all...

look for boozer to take slightly less to sign with wade/bosh to play center.,

jack wade jones bosh boozer will win a championship. my theory now is that lebron has told stern he is staying in cleveland and so stern wants a more marketable team (heat) to win and force james in 3 years to give up this silly cleveland crap and move to nets.

if lebron goes to nets now,or bulls now , he may not be able to reach finals over a wade/bosh/boozer team. if it was just wade/bosh lebron can take them joining bulls, but i dont know, man you would think william wesley would somehow stop this heat team from turning into a juggernaut. damn. i hate heat fans. this sucks. im not mad about losing bosh im mad he is going to heat.

You can add James Posey to the last as well. HE WAS HUGE FOR THEM. i dont like him much at all, but he guarded the opponents best player and hit countless big 3's in the playoffs for the celtics. I personally dont think you can really compare KG/Allen/Pierce to LBJ/D-Wade/Bosh and the way these teams are rebuilding. Remember before they made that trade THEY HAD THE BEST ODDS at getting #1... and guess who they were going to pick. Greg Oden!! YIKES. They traded Al jeff for KG and couple other trade pieces invloved (not really worth noting), and the celtics were the worst team in the league. You can add in the fact that the celtics traded Jeff Green (i think 5th pick?) for Ray Allen, so its not comparable to - On the other hand, the Heat were in the playoffs this year, and their imploding it to get 1 or 2 other max players... seems to me they could have kept everything in place other then maybe getting ride of 1 or 2 players and going after boozer and some other good but not great players.

Toronto is free to talk to Bosh. Toronto is free to talk to Miami. I *believe* Colangelo already gave Bosh's agent permission to talk to teams regarding S&T proposals as well.

    No.

    1. They can't sign new guys and go over the cap.

    2. As long as they don't renounce signing rights to Wade, a cap hold stays in place. They actually need Wade to sign to lower their cap number enough to sign the final max deal.

You can go over the cap if you sign players for the minimum. So if they did have $15 M left over, they could divide that over a couple of players before signing other players to the minimum.

Bosh to Heat, LeBron to Bulls. I guess that's what's gonna happen.

Didnt this dude leave Labron for more money? I think the last person to take less money to win would be Boozer...
