    Nook nailed it

This stupid impatient owner doesn't want to wait a couple yrs for the twenty yr olds to "grow"

I made a couple joke posts the past couple mths (which now look like facts) that the org would trade/waste their nets picks on a "vet" to "win now"..and would perfer dipo over Cade
I was just kidding.. unfortunately the "going broke" owner doesn't want to see his investment be garbage to tank...

I knew they would find a way to blow it..I knew it
..we are only two mths away from cade and they are not going to wait that long

We are going to trade for fringe all-star vets (Levine/ag as an example) and win to many games this yr and miss out on cade

Called it over a mth ago

Stupid owner .had a chance for a dynasty and instead wants first Rd exits

Note: I don't like Beal either..dont like his age/contract and he's much much older than our young ins

    I was hoping for OKC 2.0 wb/harden/ kd.... Kpj/wood/cade

Porters back scares me. Degenerative back issues only get worse and worse as you get older but having said that he is worth the risk if Denver were offering him which is highly unlikely.

Herro is is chandler Parsons 2.0 so not a big fan. Not a big fan

Collins and Wood would be a nice front
    Court

    Porter
    Collins
    Herro

    in order

Let's try this again stupid phone

I don't get the love affair with herro or mpj

They don't win you a championship this year or next and you lose out on Cade

If we are trading 24-2027 draft choices from the nets ,fine I'm okay with it ,but I bet you on my mom's grave it's this year's pick plus more assets

    Damn..just awful news

Also this sounds like Stone has seen how good the Nets are and thinks yeah they are going to be good for a while so time to get the max value from those picks. Because they are not going to be what he thought they will be.

MPJ and Collins seemingly off the table. Who else could it be besides Herro?

Boucher? Not a star by any means, but Toronto sucks and he doesn’t appear to be in their long-term plans.

Markkanen? But then you have to pay him. Would he fit next to Wood?

Malik Beasley? Contract + production. Minnesota continues to be in a never ending vortex of suck. Would expirings/picks interest them?

Myles Turner? I don’t like the fit next to Wood, but is there still the belief he has upside?

Bagley? Not a fan but he’s shown flashes

Naz Reid? Is he the real deal or just doing the Faried thing where he puts up numbers in spurts that are good on paper but don’t necessarily help you win?

Note: not advocating for any of the above. I’m just speculating about who candidates that fit this description might be.

Why do I have the feeling that my idea of a foundational piece is totally different from theirs....

Collins, KAT, Herro are all overrated tremendously

Who do they think is a foundational piece???

first question is which star are we talking second is what are having to give up because looking at these teams are not looking to just give up talent to us without a first and second if we are looking a capital we can make something happen at the bottom of the draft pick give that up if we talking give up picks but not in the top if i was looking to trade

I would throw every single pick at Zach Lavine or KAT. I like John Collins too. I'm not sure who else is good enough, young enough, and plays on a team that's going nowhere right now.

Aka ...we aren’t trading Dipo for y’all’s trash offers

I'll add a good SRP to that low FRP. No more than that.

This is the only losing year. No more after this.
The Rockets are going to be 5th seed material next season.

I am with you and feel your frustration, but if the foundation piece is MPJ we still got our OKC 2.0 with KPJ/Wood/MPJ and KJM as Ibaka. We just need Mike Malone to throw MPJ under the bus one more time and then they will be open for business.

I don't blame Tillman for not waiting on 20 year olds to grow because most of them flame out!

People have to freak out with every tidbit.

Of course we will deal those picks for a foundational piece, if one becomes available.

    no...Herro is not that.

MPJ might be that, but is probably not available. In fact, no foundational piece is likely available.

Foundational pieces don’t hit the market because someone blows them away with an offer. It’s always an internal force...player demands out, team can’t handle the luxury taxes or falls out of contention, etc.

It’s just important to be ready when one hits the market.

Maybe he could have spent a bit more when Harden was here and the Rockets would be relevant
