Stern and Silver still haven't arrived at a "news conference.". Half the union negotiators are on a plane out of town already.

The only thing more foolish than all of this is many of us buying into the idea that something had changed....

All NBA issues interrelated. Sense lower split (50/50) may work for players with softer Cap, less punitive tax. Stern not going there.

It could have been, but I would question why anyone on the union side (particularly a union lawyer or negotiator) would leak that info and would doubt the owners side would know of a division. Seems to me the union has always been about showing a unified front.

Definitely a different tone of voice and overall body language from Stern today.

Agreed - but that's always the case with leaks. Whether in sports or politics or anything else, leakers tend to hurt their side's cause, but they do it because they like being important or whatnot.

As long as the league comes out better off and more competitive in the end, that is fine by me.

I am shocked that the union has not decertified though, that would have sped things along significantly.

So they wait on the PC so ESPN can hold it live on SC, then ESPN abruptly cuts off? F ESPN!

Stern says mid level for taxpayers, sign and trade for taxpayers and BRI are open issues.

    WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Stern essentially says: As the NBA loses more money with the cancellation of games, the players can expect owner's offers to get worse.

    daldridgetnt David Aldridge
Stern: you can assume our (next) offer will change to reflect the changed economics from missing games.

    SHowardCooper Scott Howard-Cooper
Stern indicates next offer from the league will be much tougher to reflect lost revenue from canceled games.
