Doesnt Tmac wanna play with a bonified center? I forgot who the clips have for their starting center. Is it Kamen or Wilcox?
they can't possibly be asking for Yao Ming. That's absolute insanity. They have to be talking either Cato or Mo Taylor. I'd definitely prefer to see Mo go.
Im sure if they wanted Yao, his name would be 1st in that report -above Steve, Cat or Amare. Definitely Mo Taylor because I'd assume that as part of the trade, Orlando would send us back one of their PF's.
Lue has trouble in defense, but he has good shooting touch (.433, .383) and can make those opens created by Yao and TMac, low TO(1.63). He can be start PG before we find a better one.
Wait so Orlando is pushing for Amare from Phoenix but will take our steve/cat/cato package? This must mean that either: 1. Orlando is playing hardball with Phoenix and trying to get back that Marion/Johnson/#7 pick that might have been rejected 2. We've underestimated what a decent package that we're sending Orlando I don't see Phoenix parting with Amare. And if they do then I don't see Mcgrady even wanting to go there anymore. Without Amare they would have no big man which is what T-Mac has been asking for this whole time. BTW with Indiana in the Shaq sweepstakes, they may be out of the running for T-Mac. It might just be down to Phoenix and Houston.
I don't think Pacers would offer that much for Tmac. Besides, no team is going to commit until getting some assurance from Tmac that he will extend the contract. So Tmac can call the game. As a matter of fact, I think he is going to choose the team that are best post-trade. Pacers will be two steps back after that trade.
I haven't. We're sending them a perenial all-star and fan favorite in Francis, a shooting guard that hustles, plays solid defense, was in the all-star 3 point shooting competition and can give you 20 points a night easily if it's asked of him and a solid, hard-working (who would have ever thought somebody would one day use the words 'hard-working' when describing Cato?) defensive minded center with real size in the under-sized east in Cato. That's no joke. Cato and Emeka Okafor is one hell of an intimidating front court duo in the East, not to mention gives you a great defensive anchor. Francis and Mobley are argueably a top 5 back court in the NBA and have plenty of offensive power. It's a shame they sent Giricek away packing already because I think he'd be an ideal small forward in that starting 5. Orlando will be a serious team in the East NEXT SEASON if we go through with this trade. I'm not saying they'll be better off than the Pistons or the Pacers but they'll be a WHOLE lot closer to that level than they were last season. And us? Well even if we're not immediately better, I think we'll be a whole lot more fun to watch and quite frankly, I'm willing to settle for that alone. The fact we'll be contenders in years to come is just gravy.
So, is the most likely scenario now Shaq to Orlando for Howard, Hill, filler, tons of #1's, and TMac stays put?
