This is one of the few things that has made me nervous the past few days... The man has wit. Melikes.
I don't disagree that T-Mac and Shaq could conceivably land in Dallas (I guess it is possible but still much less likely than T-Mac to Indy/Phoenix/Houston), but I do absolutely disagree that they can do it AND keep Nowitski. Nobody is going to do that kind of favor for the Mavs. Sign and Trades are a two way street. Both the team and the player have to agree on it, and nowadays teams would rather let a guy walk and keep the cap space than make a really stupid move (unless we're talking about Boston cause nobody can possibly guess what Danny Ainge is going to do next).
Just wanted to throw this one in here... ...by Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel today. The article
T-Mac would look good in red, but he is such a baby...granted he is only 25 years old.....I want to go to LA or San Antinoi...then a week later I want to play with Yao....now he wants Shaq....maybe next week he will want Tyra Banks....for the love of the game, make up you mind!!!!
Cant get the link since I am not an ESPN Insider, but Chad Ford says on his headline that T-Mac is not coming to the Rockets...I wonder how credible he is...if anyone can post the article, then that would be great...
How is including RON "HEADCASE" ARTEST in the deal a "deal-maker" while Steve Francis may be "too much of a headache"? Are these writers on drugs?
OK, I don't know where that came from. That is NOT my point (although it would not surprise me in the least if the geniuses in the Rocket front office would actually do something that stupid). Now how hard is it for you and everyone else to stop and consider that if T-Mac is such an attractive commodity, other teams with interest could put together a better deal than the proposed Houston deal? That's all I'm saying here - that Orlando and not T-Mac will be driving this bus (unless CD & his crew take over for the Magic - then T-Mac is in control because he'll be dealing with morons). I simply do not expect Orlando to botch this up by placing T-Mac's interests ahead of the Orlando Magic's. They finally appear to have learned from their mistakes (too bad I can't say the same thing about the Rockets but that's another topic).
So if I understand you, it is T-Mac who is dictating to the Magic exactly where he wants to go and the poor Magic have NO choice but to accede to his demands because HE won't agree to a contract extension? Sorry but that's wishful thinking on your part. Fact: T-Mac cannot opt out until NEXT year. He doesn't have that much juice here. He's trying to force Orlando's hand now but if push comes to shove and the situation detriorates, the Magic don't have to trade him until the middle of the next season. Not a probable outcome, but a possible one nonetheless. I'm still taking a wait and see approach to this trade. As for who would be that stupid? Why your very own Houston Rockets organization that's who!
