Doug Christie is still a very good defender. This looks like a trade made out of desperation on the Magic's part though. They lost a lot of games due the opponent just going nuts on them. Even the Raptors were scoring a lot on the Magic. Kings got younger with Mobley, and Mobley may sign with them in the offseason. Mobley is also a better playmaker than Bibby or anyone else they have at the guard spots. Bobby Jackson is out for the year with surgery which means Mobley will be playing a large scoring role.
I hope Orlando goes down hill even more now... Sorry Steve, but looks like you are learn how bad it is to play under the Magic management real quick...
Gonna have to disagree with you there... Bibby ain't as athletic, no, but he's so damn tricky on the drive that he can get to the hole against anyone. Dude hardly ever misses layups either, even the difficult ones.
I think Bibby can use screens very well to get his shot off and get into the paint. I'm referring more to creating a shot off the dribble.
Hopefully, with him already being seperated from Fancy, it will make it easier for the Rox to get him back in the offseason.
All I know is I would love to have Bibby on our Rox team with TMac and Yao. He's a great, smart ballplayer.
I am, but mostly because it gives me the hope that after being split up from his buddy Steve, he might decide to come back to Houston. If we could dump Taylor and a pick to New Jersey for a big TE, we could offer Mobes Magette money in a sign-and-trade. Maybe I will have to start watching Kings games with my cousin. I am also excited to see what Cat can do when not held back by Fancy.
Wasn't he the guy that Toronto refused to include in the trade for Hakeem. He was their lottery pick, and Rudy wanted him included, and Toronto said he was untouchable. Funny how time makes people throw-in's.
The king's fans havent realized they what a steal they've got in this deal. Cat is going to put Kings back to the hunt. I cant believe some king fans even propose to boo Cat when he steps on Arco. Cat is twice offensive player as Christie is and defensively he is pretty good too.
