The other problem is, once this dude gets his next contract...he's gonna take a seat...and never get up again.

Fringe 2nd guy, great 3rd guy!

Chandler Parsons' Role As The Plan B Free Agent Of 2016

[rquoter]It's a perfect scenario for Parsons to get paid, and he is expected to command a max contract. Dallas, which won't have Parsons' full Bird rights required to offer a fifth year, would be able to pay him roughly $96 million over four years. Other teams would be able to offer approximately $92 million over the same span.

But a starting/max salary at $23M, even with an increasing cap? I don't see it.

At my age, an erection causing a heart attach is a common occurrence.

Back on topic,I agree with DD that Parsons would be the 2nd play maker to take the offensive load off Harden. I would be able to live with any defensive liability that occurred.

You mean how the Warriors negotiated a contract extension instead of allowing their RFA to go to the open market?

Yep, that is a good one the Rockets could have done that with Parsons and DMo too.

BTW - those saying they are worried about his injury history.

I hope you are being consistent when speaking about Durant and his rebuilt feet.

Durant is at least 1 million times better. So let's take that into account when we talk about "consistency".

The key is how much money he demands. I would pay him a 15-18 per year contract, we still could bring a max, or 2 very good players. I wouldn't pay him 20-25 per year. Defensive level is as important as offensive and he's a subpar defender, having we already a defensive cancer in James Harden. Last season showed that his winning impact here was similar to Ariza's. Chandler is the better SF overall, but not by that salary margin.

In the past couple of days you have compared DMo to Dwight and now Chandler Parsons to Kevin Durant.

    Come on, DD!

I missed the DMo to Dwight comparison, so I won't comment on that one. However the CP to KD comparison was from an injury stand point, not a talent
    stand point as you insinuated.

DD compares Dmo's contract and injury situation with Dwight's like they are the same. He can't understand why some fans would at least entertain giving Dwight, a future Hall of Famer, a big money contract and not DMo who is at best a super sub.

Now he is doing the same thing with Chandler and KD.

Lol, what? KD with his injury history is still vastly more valuable than Parsons with an injury history. KD is elite and very much worth the risk.

Id choose Trevor over Parson.Trevor is more consistant on defense and half the price. With the cost we have to pay for Parsons, Im sure we would have better choices.

No question Parsons is the better player.
