You can't replace CC. There just aren't guys like him. He's staying.

That said, Morey will have lots of work to do between now and November. Some of it will likely be under the table.

Only way we let him go is if he is a LeBron Casualty

    Clint + Anderson + Ego + Picks for LeBron and Flotsam . . .. .
I'd have to pull the trigger on that

    Would PRefer
    Clint + Anderson + Ariza + Picks but . . .you know . .. .

This is a no brainer you obviously match his offer sheet.

Minus Cousins and Jordan that's an awful list. Please bring back CC

He has potential, but strong and physical players overwhelm him. He played poorly against GS for the most part.
OKC's Adams is another example of that. His offense remains limited, FT percentage is low. He is a terrific shot blocker. He is not worth a huge contract.

Duncan was a franchise player from Day 1. He could score with ease and defend. Clint's upside is limited. It takes years of hard work to become a two way player. This is most unlikely to happen at the age of 24.

If we lose him, I really like Javel McGee. Would come cheap and can actually play defense above 3 point line

DJ is the best option if he agrees to
a big discount. I doubt if he will leave money on the table.

And don’t forget Brandon Wright. I think he resigns with us.

Who would you trade him for? Let's assume Lebron is out of the picture. Sorry I just remembered your post in which you mentioned Middleton. He is a pretty good player. If the Rockets can upgrade the PF spot and get a good backup PG, we can be in good shape even with O'Quinn or Amir Johnson.

Yep. Agile young bigs who can score and offer some rim protect and who fit your system perfectly are hard to come by.

But Greatest Players Ever are impossible to come by. If he wants to join your team, you find a way to make it happen.

I tend to agree with this. Clint makes Harden better than CP3 does even though what CP3 brings is still a necessity either way. Both are invaluable but Harden can’t be who he was this year without Clint or someone very similar. He was even better than a very good Dwight Howard at taking pressure off Harden as the big in the paint. That’s just not something you can replace but a backup point guard to run the show when Harden is out is.

That being said, I absolutely think CP3 should come back. I think we have to swallow the dead salary years at the back of this next contract and deal with it.

Montrezl Harrell keep coming into my mind during the GS series, and I am sure he would have been a bigger contributor than Capela.

I know Harrrell's rim protection is not as good but he can guard 1 - 5. His pick and roll is very efficient who can also catch the lobs. Not to mention his motor and energy that this team lacks. He is valuable in today's NBA, especially against a team like Golden States that require us to switch everything.

He is becoming a restricted free agent this summer, if we can get him along with someone like Dedmond, we should be good.

You guys are sleeping on Capela... this kid is the future of the Center position!

He is one of the best finishers around the basket in the NBA

He is one of the best rebounders in the NBA

He is one of the best shot blockers in the NBA.

He doesn’t take bad shots, he has great hands, he knows his role. And he is only getting better.

Capela is a championship level player. I don’t know what you guys just saw for 7 games but I saw Capela going head to head with Draymond and the Warriors. I saw him switch out on Steph Curry and do as good a job as any 7 footer in the NBA. The kid has heart and is the type of center that can thrive in today’s NBA.

He was just as big apart of us beating the Jazz and the T wolves as CP3 and Harden were.
