Actually I would. He would be like Capela, he'd have much more value in our system than he would have on most other teams. What would we ask him to do? Catch lobs out of the pick and roll, run the floor, be able to switch on defense and block shots. That's a pretty good description of his strengths. He's bigger and stronger than Capela, he runs the floor very well, catches lobs and dunks and has really quick feet. Very athletic. Not sure why I wouldn't trust him to do those things if he were here. Shoots the ball better than Capela too...not great but better. If Capela and WCS were in the NFL, they'd be considered "System guys". That's a player that excels if playing in the right system but is not nearly as good in other systems. Think spread quarterbacks and run and shoot receivers.
Let's say it would be a risky move anyway, because as today Capela is obviously more proven. The rest is up to you guys lol, as i said i don't really have a solid opinion on him since i didn't watch him much, i agree with aelliott on his strenghts and with the fact that he would fit here, but yeah, i have to stop here.
Think about what skills Capela brings to the table. Now watch this video regarding WCS's strengths. See much overlap? Most of what WCS and Capela bring to the table are physical skills. The Rockets don't need him to do much more but other teams would. Watch this video all the way through. You'll see alot of similarities to Capela. You'll also see decent passing skills and a serviceable little jump hook and even some jumpers. You'll also see some terrible lob passes. Think how much more effective he'd be with CP3 and Harden setting him up right at the rim. Now watch this one just because it's sick. Like I said, I don't know why that athleticism wouldn't translate to what the Rockets do. Oh Yeah, he's also set to make $4.7M this season.
When WCS was drafted I was all in to trade Capela for him. If we're in need of a replacement, this is where we start.
this could be a very creative idea, may allow us to have a decent center, keep Tucker and reduce tax by a lot
Sac also seems ready to move on from WCS, especially if Ayton is available with their 2nd overall pick. But what would they want from Houston that Rockets would be willing to give up? Any way to send Ryno home?

Great point, Capela's inability to make anything outside of a dunk or layup hurts you against GSW or put the ball on the floor and make plays driving to the bucket. We need a low tier FG in the 6'9" range that can shoot or make plays. That is playoff P...
We don't need any players that can't consistently score at the bucket, GSW takes away big men who can lob only. Who are the free agents that can play D, rebound, make plays and score. Give us Aaron Gordon and we can go to war with GSW and win this time.
I am still on the Nerlen's Noel Band wagon, Why would houston give Capela all this money when you could possibly get maybe the same results from nerlens with lobs from Harden, and Paul, and afford a good small forward replacement with that money instead. Nerlen's could be had what 3-4 years 30 mill contract?
Trade for WCS, sign Nerlens Noel for one year $5M-7M, another small trade for Jarred Vanderbuilt. Small ball 5 options: Anthony Randolph Perry Jones III
we're not replacing Capela; we're keeping Capela. He's our only homegrown and developed player. He's improved every year. He's a mobile big that is athletic enough to stay with smaller faster players, and he's a good defender, shotblocker and rebounder. Nice touch around the rim; great in transition; good hands. He needs to develop a jump shot and he'll be an all star. We've simply got to to keep him, and if it costs us a lot of money, that's just the way it is. Paying Capela Anderson money is not a bad investment. Tillman is gonna have to pay. But look at the bright side ....Capela will be even better next year. the more time Capela spends with Dream the better.
Nerlens Noel Lucas Nogueira (Grab Caboclo too... with our cap situation low cost high ceiling prospects are our best long term way to grow the team) Jahlil Okafor Tyson Chandler Kenneth Faried Javale McGee We don't need 48 minutes of 7 foot tall bigs, the league has gone toward small ball and we have Tucker for part time 5 duty. You cant play Tucker a lot at the 5 but you also have Nene.
Alex Len is still a FA just sayin. He can start or serve as a better backup than Nene. Noel at his price would’ve been nice also.
Willie would be the perfect replacement. Even DeAndre would be. I hope Morey tells Capela he isn't scared of him signing the QO. It's one thing to sign Capela to a contract but not a bad one he can't trade away.
