Recently, for the past year, I've bit my tongue, cheeks or lips accidentally, while chewing food, probably about once or twice a month. I've looked everywhere and cant find any info on this. Anyone else over 35 experiencing this?

Started with me at about age 40. Not sure why. Sometimes brings blood.

It's possible that not 100% of things that occur are symptomatic of a bigger issue that can be researched or discovered on the internet.

    It could be aging.

I have seen several people over 50 chew their lips and cheeks off at Luby's cafeteria. If Florida, at the retirement communities they have warning signs around all the restaurants.

Probably more of a sign of a TMJ issue/dysfunction

When my uncle developed AIDZ in the 80's one of the first things that was wrong with him is he wasn't able to chew properly. Look into some medical testing.
