LOL... though no surprise, the republicans are running someone indicted for a felony...

Rep. Hunter pretends to cross the Mexico border and gets called out for violating his parole
Hunter recorded the video as part of a ride-along with U.S. Customs and Border Patrol

Sam's Club has patio and lawn furniture, I remember seeing a camo-covered ATV or golf cart there once for like $8,000. In any case it's probably stuff he can resell.

You can't make this stuff up...

Rep. Hunter: Supporting Trump, not alleged campaign finance violations, led to charges
The Republican’s attorneys argue the case against him is not the result of alleged criminal wrongdoing, but of political bias

If there is not another more Trump story than this since he was elected I would Love to know one. I hope Republicans are proud of this. Absolute hypocrites.

Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.) appears poised to plead guilty to federal campaign finance charges on Tuesday morning after more than a year of claiming the federal investigation into his spending habits was a “witch hunt.”

The court docket in Hunter’s case indicated on Monday that Hunter has a change of plea hearing set for Tuesday morning, as first reported by The San Diego Union-Tribune. He’ll appear before U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Whelan, according to the notification
Hunter was indicted in August 2018. Months later, he won reelection after launching false, racist attacks against his opponent, who was of Palestinian and Latino descent.

Hunter’s wife previously pleaded guilty in the campaign finance scheme, admitting that the couple used campaign funds for a wide variety of family expenses, including flying their pet rabbit around. Hunter also used campaign money to fund extramarital affairs, according to federal prosecutors.

Hunter was one of President Donald Trump’s earliest supporters, and Trump lashed out at former Attorney General Jeff Sessions for allowing Hunter and fellow Trump supporter former Rep. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.) to be indicted. Collins pleaded guilty to insider trading in October.

Hunter’s trial had been set to take place early next year.

... while we are locking people up....

Matt Gaetz rents office space from longtime friend and donor — at taxpayer expense
Gaetz's relationship with a Pensacola real estate developer highlights how a friendship can become intertwined with congressional duties.

Just House rules; no need to lock anyone up. But obviously that lease is against the rules and he needs to break it and move somewhere where he can have an arm's length transaction. To Merrill's point, one party or another gets a favor if the price is wrong which is why the rule says to keep it arm's length.
