When Yao come back...everything will be fine. We'll just have to wait and see. This team is not the same without Yao as far as defense.

Really? And how did you come to this conclusion? Adelman coached better defenses than offenses for both Portland and Houston. His Kings were balanced during the Webber days, but dropped off on defense afterwards. Then again, what do you expect when you have Miller/Divac as your inside guys?

Maybe it's because I don't watch enough ESPN and get drunk on their "expert analysis". Because I have no clue where people are getting the idea that Adelman treats defense less so than offense.

Yeah. Our defense really stunk it up after JVG left.

Morey's next move should be to bring back Thibodeau.

RA's teams have consistently been in top ten while maintaining over 60% winning record. There was nothing wrong with our defense the past couple years. Our problem is that our starting center is 6'6, you can't blame Rick for that.

There's only 2, offense or defense and either way your gonna end up being better at one or the other.

Rick's defenses haven't been horrible nor has he completely disregarded playing D the way the Suns do.

We have better offensive players therefore our offense will be better then our defense.

Jackson - 8 out of 19 years in top 5

Adelman - 7 out of 18 years in top 5

I don't know why this is getting under people's skin. I'm not saying he's a bad defensive coach. I just think his offense is his strong trait. Rick is the man when it comes to coaching, wouldn't have it any other way right now.

You would think the defense would make a return. I understand the Rockets coaching staff has about 4 guys dipping into the defensive strategy but IMO our defense is seen as a reflection of Turner's work. His value will plummet if he can't get this defense to compete, especially with Battier and Hayes on it. So I assume he will step-up his game, if he still covets a head coaching job that is.

I luv RA but we have regressed in D every year since hes come aboard, hopefully he stresses it more firmly but i doubt it with his focus on implementing his system all the time

very similar to football how a defensive minded coach spends more time the with the defense in practice and an offensive coach spendin more time with the O

JVG spent more time preachin D and the O GREATLY suffered

RA stresses O and ball movement and cuts etc and the D is paying the price

lol our defense was at its best under RA, it progressed from his first year here to his second. Our defense only fell this year bc Yao is out and our starting center is 6'6. I swear our own fans know nothing of our team.

OH! so THATS why chuck has been starting all season... its all so clear now.

honestly though, if JT makes the rotation next year and puts the effort on D he put in this year, our bench is gonna be full of defensive studs.

    lowry, JT, shane, JJ, chuck

plus Cbud and Jhill are gonna have another year under their belts.

    talk about deep.
