I love how those commentators made it like Malone was the hero with a ripped jersey when in fact he was the dirty guy (as usual) trying to undercut Boki.
I would take him over Shane and Trevor in the starting lineup.....today..... He would be cheaper and much better on offense. DD
the reason for us to have Battier is to have a good defender. Morey proly wants Ariza to take over that roll when Shane's contract ends. I remembered Boki as a poor defender, but I do remember him hitting like 20 straight 3s during the predraft workouts.
not to mention hearing one pointedly stating that Karl's obvious attempt to purpously undercat Nachbar was all just matter of Karl being "off balance after bumping with Steve Francis"... followed with his co-commentar agreeing with him... WHILE viewing the replay that showed the only contact made was with Francis wrist and Karla's arm... the problem with that was Francis hands were going up... not at all towards Malone... while his moment was carrying him AWAY from Karla... "yes, you're right, he was off balance"
He had a brief but respectable NBA career with the Nets, thanks to Jason Kidd. Karl Malone's torn shirt was Boki's legendary contribution to our Houston Rockets. I hope he will lead a happy and good life.
Boki was the original D-Mo. Foreign guy, well loved for unknown reasons, and basically sucked his whole time here
He was well loved for two reasons: 1. It was said that he hit x number of 3pt shots in a row in practice. 2. The Malone incident.
