That behind the back pass from Tmac to Yao (I think was a PnR) was one of my favorite plays from those two.

I really wish Tmac was healthy and still with the team now!

The previous two seasons, we didn't have enough talents, and Yao was injured. Tmac carried the team!

Finally, this season we have good talents and Yao is healthy, but Tmac is down! Sigh!!!

Would anyone trade Tracy McGrady for Kevin Martin? I'm really curious because I think both teams win.

last season , we indeed had enough talents .Landry ,Scolar ,Banzi .and it is yao that carried rockets and made rockets out of mess when tmac said he was injured ,just like this year , until yao worn out ! then ,tmac was back .
then ,you say tamc carried rockets last year , It is shameful .

this season ,we have Ron , tamc acted as badly as last season at the beginning , when tamc wanted to play-act like last season , yao didnt worn out again , tamc failed .

I think most people here know that Yao is my favorite rocket.

But, it doesn't mean I think other rocket doesn't deserve any credit. Tmac did do a lot for this team for the past two seasons when Yao got injured.

other rockets have their credit ,you dont worry eccept tamc !

one and a half year ago , topics on this board were

how to involve tamc into rockets ?

whether tamc made rockets' offence sluggish ?

    was tmac injured rearly ?

This thread is about Tmac-Yao Pick&Roll. So, it is unecessary to talk about other rockets here. As many posters have mentioned, that's a good memory. I said that I wish Tmac was still with the team means that I want to see it again. I do think a healthy Tmac can help the rockets win the title.

BTW, don't tell me you are Yao himself! ;)

yaoao, stop hijacking the thread please. Let him believe what he wants, abc. It's obvious that by arguing you're just feeding the fire.

I think Ron could run the PnR with Yao adequately if he stopped trying to take 100000000000000 dribbles to get to the lane. Just one crossover, please. It seems counter intuitive to me for a guy like Ron Artest, who has pretty bad handles, to make MORE moves than necessary to get to the ring.

Actully, Yao himself was the first person to announce that.

I remember that Yao said it after the 1st rockets-majic game this season. You don't know?! This is one of many reasons why I admire Yao so much! He is not only a great player, but a great person!

Tmac and Yao's PnR was deadly. I remember a game against the Bobcats, yes the Bobcats where we were playing horribly. Then Tmac called out Yao, did the PnR pretty much for the rest of the game and we won. It was funny because the Bobcats had no idea how to stop it.

What's tragic is the fact that when Tmac was playing his best for Houston, Yao wasn't there yet (still developing -aka Dallas Series). Yao is definately better than he was when Tmac first got here but Tmac's been declining ever since and both of them had their share of injuries.

It's all timing and luck. Unfortunately, Rockets are a victim of unfortunate circumstances. Two great players; I hope they get to finals at least once before the duo is broken up.

great post. Totally agree that our 2 stars did not peak together. we need trade for a player asap b/c yao has almost peaked himself. I don't see him getting any that much better than what he already is.
