The Spurs played great team ball all around. Especially on defense. They swarm the ball and didn't allow Lillard or LMA to beat them like we did.

LMA wasn't the only player going off on us. Lillard went to work, Batum had his moments and Wesley had his moments.

Our team defense was horrible, that's why Portland averaged over 105+ a game in that series. Against San Antonio they might have average 97.

A good comp for terrence jones right now is Draymond Green. Green plays how we need Jones to play: smart defense, good rebounding, active on offense, and can hit corner threes. Jones has shown flashes of all these things, but the Rockets need more consistency. If Jones can deliver consistently, his ceiling is way higher than Green given that he has a better handle, and much better size (and a year younger). The other major difference is Houston has Jones for another season on his rookie contract, whereas Green will be a free agent this summer and could command $15M annually...

Go to NBA.com and watch the video. When Aldridge posts up on Splitter, he can't back him down, and has to shoot over the top. No double team required.

Why are you putting "star" in quotes? I didn't say that. I said Goran Dragic had 29 games to offer. You wanted to trade Terrence Jones for 29 games of Dragic. OK, but the Rockets didn't want to.

    Still waiting for your links.

    I actually don't remember a time when trading TJones was a no-brainer.

It would still be a no-brainer if we could get a legit backup center or starting PG in the deal.

I didn't want to do anything. Still waiting for YOUR links of Clint Capella having the value to bring back Dragic even for 29 games.
Your homerism has reached so absurd levels to actually BELIEVE in your mind that a rookie who only plays in D-League has that value.

Don't get off topic. You said we offered Jones to the Suns, Nuggets and Bucks. Is that BS, or do you have evidence?

I didn't say we offered Capella to anyone.

It's irrelevant to the argument, but if you want some support for the Capella idea, maybe BimaThug and Clutch will convince you, if you ever listen to Clutch's podcasts: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=262668]

You can choose to believe Codman or you can choose not to believe him. I'm not really concerned one way or the other.

I'm glad you aren't concerned. The things he said were echoed about an hour later in a Feigen article so aside from the fact that it would make sense that we'd dangle our 3rd best PF as trade bait, it was suggested elsewhere. The Suns wanted DMo instead of Jones along with 2 first round picks so we said no.

What is irrelevant to your whole posts is logic. You can choose to believe whatever you want I don't give a damn. Morrey tried to trade for Dragic by offering a D-league rookie. Yes that's it.
And I don't have to provide any evidence to you. You are someone who needs photographic evidence to believe that a poster is not an elephant. Couldn't care less.

Gave up on your "for sure" claims about the Suns, Nuggets, and Bucks?

I didn't say Morey tried to do anything.

I did say Clutch mentioned Capella for a Dragic trade. I transcribed Clutch from the podcast for you.

Both Clutch and BimaThug assumed Jones would be around after a Dragic trade. Listen to the podcast: it won't hurt you!

Matt, thats a pretty good comparison. I think that if it wasn't for that weird injury, Jones would have shown some consistency this year. Usually we see young guys make a big jump second into third year.

BimaThug seems to be on the Capella side:

You must confuse me with someone else because I didn't say for sure he went after Lawson or Knight.
I said he went after Dragic. Do you need a link for that?
    Let's see.
Morrey made a serious offer for Dragic. YES?
Morrey's offer was enough that at the end the Suns were between Houston, Miami and Boston. YES?
IF Morrey's offer consisted of Capella while the Miami offer consisted of two barely protected future firsts would the Suns even consider it and not hang up the phone?
Cyberx is a reliable insider do you agree? YES?
Cyberx said that the Suns wanted both DMO and the NOP pick. You can ask someone with forum search priviledges to show you the quote like J.R or whoever.
Cyberx also said that DMO because of Dwights injury at the time was untouchable.
What is the next best asset to couple with the NOP pick? Capella? Seriously?

I have no personal investment on this ludicrous antagonism between Jones and DMO some fans here have created. You only have to use logic to come to the conclusion that Jones was a part of a package.
Do I agree with that? Doesn't matter at all. All it matters is what Morrey did.
Will Morrey come out and reveal what he offered to the Suns when the trade wasn't made and the players STILL wear Rockets jerseys and play?
Absolutely not he's not an idiot.
So forget your demands of a Morrey confirmation. This simply won't happen.

I didn't say any trade was proposed. Only you did.

I said Clutch and BimaThug mentioned Capella for Dragic and they also assumed Jones was going to be here after the trade. Did you listen to the podcast yet? You have nothing but your own logic and a sassy attitude.

The point is: you post bull***t. Thats all. I didn't say any trade was proposed.

Oh so you don't believe that Morrey made a serious offer for Dragic then?
