dude quit posting. Whats your point in posting all this crap? We know E.G. is young and he needs to step his game up. Hopefully he's working on that as we speak. Your excused now professor.
Garthomps, haven't you ever heard that there is more to basketball than statistics? This Jefferson guy, if he really even exists, is putting up a D. Coleman charade. Eddie Griffin is more of a Troy Hudson mold. When this "trade" went down, Jefferson was better known for random thuggery, like stealing from his mom. Griffin, would never do such a thing. This is when Rudy T. saw the real potential in Griffin. He is so calm, he could see the face of God and not flinch. He is Rudy's secret weapon. I fully expect him to go for 50+ points when we make it to the playoffs. And you cannot disprove that fact. Face it. You keep trying to prove Jefferson's superior play over Griffin's but the truth is, you don't know. The Nets are a cancelled check. The nets will never win it all. Griffin will lead us to the promiseland! can i get a "yeah"?
Who is this guy they are writing about? I must have dozed off or something because I haven't seen EG play anywhere near this way in his 2 years on the team.
Per NBA.com Jefferson highlights: Won “Got Milk Eastern Conference NBA Rookie of the Month” for January, as he averaged 10.3 ppg, 3.3 rpg and 2.1 apg while helping the Nets to an 11-4 record Ranked 7th amongst rookies in scoring (9.4 ppg) andin field goal percentage (45.7%) Started first career NBA game, scoring 16 points and grabbing a career-high nine rebounds in a career-high 40 minutes of action at Cleveland on 12/26/2002 Scored a career-high 22 points on 8-10 (80%) shooting from the floor, while grabbing three rebounds and collecting two steals in 22 minutes off the bench vs. New York on 2/22/2002 Tallied 10 points on 4-5 shooting from the floor and tied a career-high with nine rebounds vs. Atlanta on 3/24/2002 Griffin Highlights: ZeroJefferson Highlights
I inadvertantly double posted. Rather than continuing to spew pro-Jefferson info, why don't you address my post concerning stats per 48 minutes?
Richard Jefferson....isn't he the guy that had that 70's hit TV show? It was called something like the Richardsons or the Jeffersons? something like that? Eddie doesn't have a TV show so that means RJ is better!
Eddie had his own show before he was drafted. Ya know ...the one with Theo Huxtable (Malcolm and Eddie).
Yeah? But was as successful? I think not! You do know that Jason Kidd produced the Jeffersons didn't you?
Bobrek, et. al. While being a Rockets fan in my early days watching Reid, Lloyd, McCray, Peterson, Maxwell; I'm hoping that the Rockets are headed in the right direction! As I went to the University of Arizona, I have been following Jefferson throughout his college career and was already certain that he would have an immediate impact. Similar to that of Mike Bibby with the Kings. I am hoping that you guys prove me wrong. Nevertheless, watch the Eastern Finals and keep in mind what I said. I definitely think the Rockets definitely passed up on someone who could have helped them get back to the playoffs. In addition to trading Collier who would have been a far better back-up center that Cato.
I'm pretty sure this trade was just an elaborate scheme concocted by Rudy T. Rudy will be fired next year, and Byron Scott will takeover as Head Coach of the Lakers. Rudy will take over the Nets. This stuff is so obvious. Do you guys just not get it? Yeah, Eddie Griffin was in that movie with the Seven Up Yours campaign guy. Quite memorable for how forgetable it was.
Ive heard this rumor. I also heard Kenyon Martin owns a large number of Wal-Mart shares (the same Wal-Mart who drove their competitor, K-Mart, into bankruptcy). Coincidence? I think not!
I think you are mistaken! It's the Waltons that own Wal-Mart shares. Bill the sportcaster and his brothers, I believe. K(enyon) Mart(in) is the majority shareholder of his name sake's store.

Hey Richard Jefferson....excuse me, I forgot to use your code name here....garthomps, we get the picture. Yes,admittedly your stats are better and you're much better known around the league,so far, than Griff. But you had more experience coming out than Griff did so give him another couple of years before you write him off. BTW garthomps, you forgot to mention that had the Rockets kept all three picks, they could've drafted Jefferson, Zach Randolph, and Tony Parker at those spots. Or even Tinsley and Arenas. Of course that probably would've severely affected our lottery chances of landing Yao Ming. Jefferson,Randolph, Parker and 2002 pick,or Griffin and Yao. Sorry,at this point I'll still take my chances that Griff works out up front with Yao! If you could guarantee we still would've gotten Yao, then heck yes I'd re-do with the other three, but it's very doubtful we'd have had the same number or the right combo of lottery numbers to get Yao. And having Yao outweighs whatever combo of those guys we could've gotten instead.
PUT IT THIS WAY! With Jefferson we would have never gotten YAO. So the way things went were perfect. I believe Griff can be a force in the nba just let him post. In 5 years the Rockets are gonna look like geniuses. OKay? so dont worry!!
