I like Pryzbilla's game. He's a big body but he is coordinated around the basket. I would prefer to not give up Battier for him though, unless this is part of a bigger deal down the road.
This is hilarious. Everyone freaking out over a picture. With that said, if i had to put 20 bucks on it i would say its true.
Of course it will. It already has. If Boozer had opted out, I doubt Portland even wastes their time with an offer sheet for Millsap, since Utah would then undoubtedly match it. Plus, Portland would be shut out from free agency for the 7 days while the Jazz screw with them.
Can someone give us history on Matt? He's a creditable source much like Doc Rocket? Btw, Pryzbilla would be an ideal center for us.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Not flopzilla! We are already pissing off teams with Scola's flopping.... this will really just piss off the whole league now when our front line will all start flopping. We'll be the new j*zz.
i think a lot has to do with the person who posted it if clutch, doc rocket did the same people would be doing the same thing now if someone like i dunno Miguel posted it no one would have cared (no offense Mig)
If Portland frontloaded the deal they give to Millsap, they can make it real difficult for Utah to try and match. I think it would still depend on what Utah decides on what to do with Boozer.
Pryzbilla for Battier makes some scense. They basically have identical contracts. And the Rockets now have Ariza, possibly a younger version of Battier. The Blazers wanted a glue guy in Hedeo, which Battier can be. Battier is good for a playoff contender. He isn't great for a team in rebuilding mode, which the Rockets appear to be in. Prysbilla Scola Ariza Taylor Brooks It looks like a blue collar team. And the cap space is saved for next season after we cut the ties with McGrady.
He works for Sports Radio 610 and is (in my humble opinion) one of, if not the best radio personality in the city. Let me reiterate though, thus far Matt hasn't done anything but post a picture. He hasn't even said this is rumored to happen. He's just speculated as far as I can tell.
Battier and Joel basically make the same amount of money and are both under contract for 2 years (Przybilla has a player option, but he will likely exercise it). When I say basically the same amount, I'm talking within like $60,000 bucks. Nickels and dimes in NBA terms. Rudy makes like 1.24 million next year. Such a move would barely effect the cap situation for next year. Unfortunately, anyone who thinks we're getting Przybilla AND Fernandez for Battier has gone off the deep end.
We would have to ship out Battier in any deal for Priz, as there is a new NBA rule against having more than one flopper on a team. The rule was grandfathered for Utah, however.
How about this: Successful Trade Scenario Congratulations on a successful trade. Due to Houston and Portland being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Portland had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. I'm assuming if this deal were to go down it would be after Utah declines to match the offer Portland gives Milsap right?
As well as you seem to know Matt, you don't seem to know that he wouldn't post something like this if it were purely speculation. He has heard something. What he heard, we don't know. But this isn't just a hunch.
I don't see why it's crazy to think Fernandez could be part of the deal. Battier is a commodity in the NBA, Przybilla is not. There has to be something to sweeten the deal on Portland's side.
The way i see this is: -We would almost have to include Battier to make the $ numbers match up. -We should get more in return than just Joel P if Battier is in the deal. -The 3 least payed players on Portland is: Bayless, Batum, and Fernandez. -One of the above players more than likely would be included in a deal.
