The Gentile Giant? 2016 $$$ means this summer's rules change. I suspect DM the GM will have the formulative take on how to make this team work going into the ensuing summer (meaning/Smith/KJ/Llull/Papa/etc etc et alia. TJo does not make JSmoothe redundant. If only he had the talent Smith possesses. Or DMo. Ceiling of Amir Johnson? if so that ain't bad, but it is higher. Go OKC, make the dadgum p/o's already!
He reminds me of a slower Harden in the way he initiates contact. He also has that step back jumper off the drive.
Gentile's game reminds me of Tariq Evans. Strong build, under control on drives to the basket, but not really fast. Very effective. Anyways, this is what I get from watching Gentile's highlights. Somebody with more knowledge can correct me.
Perhaps Morey is getting the proper trade value. Would not be surprised if teams are inquiring about him.
looks like Royce White. Is he a good flyer? If Morey is in Europe, then that means he doesn't rely purely on numbers.
The guy that inspired this: You see him at beginning of video. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2XyZvOaeeqM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
He was stroking it in that clip but I agree. If he can hit the open three at a 33% clip I think there is something here.
nah, the year before he joined Rockets he spent his last year with polish team and coach of that team did outstanding job of throwing all his ego under the bus and he came just normal. I do not remember him b****ing on the court with reffs and getting any technicals for trash-talking or arguing. But Gentile just does not grow, he gets tech each game for things above. If he comes, let's just hope Dwight, Harden and others shuts this diva down and he won't argue or ruin our hemistry.
No surprise. Morey was lucky to get Scola, D-Mo, Capela, and K-Pap. No luck with Llull and Gentile. I think no overseas players should be drafted, unless it is very clear that they can come to the NBA immediately.
Gentile is only 22 years old. 3 year contract makes him 25 when it is complete. It has opts outs too so he can come over earlier.
Looks more like Najera to me. But the way he dribbles, he'd get his pocket picked routinely in the NBA.
If they can't dominate in the Euroleague then why would we want them anyways? The point is you stash in the hopes that they succeed abroad first. By and large the majority of players from Europe that have done well in the NBA have had major success there before coming over. Notable exceptions being instant stars like Dirk and Pau.
