Man I can't imagine spending 72 - 96 hours of being stuck in a very uncomfortable position in complete darkness with no food or drinks. Painful way to go, psychologically and physically.

Better hope he did break his neck on the way down to save him from all that suffering.

Santa Clause is guilty of giving off a vibe that chimneys are some how a way to get inside a structure. I seriously think people grow up thinking that entering a chimney will work because...subconsciously...they have been conditioned to not fear the chimney. They have no concept of how chimneys are designed or work. They have no clue that, when you go down a chimney, chances are very high you will not be able to climb back out the top and, at the bottom of the chimney, you will almost always run into a chimney flu that prevents you from getting in. If you knew that at all, then you would never have even attempted it in the first place. Sorry, dumb people, chimneys are not a viable entry point unless you are looking to get stuck and/or die.

I would have gone for a Mary Poppins reference, gen-X nostalgia is a little too easy and enabling.
