I don't want to even attempt to argue with you-or anyone else on a basketball forum, because I know that whatever I say, you'll always have a counter-arguement, that's clearly why you made the thread...to prove you are right and I am wrong. cya
good question. he'd certainly rank pretty high! but he's famous...i know people who don't claim jesus who are extremely christian.
Not necessarily more christian, but Melchizedeck Buddha Ammachi Max: I totally agree on the subject of religion vs. faith, and I in no way was trying to paint a truly spiritual person as a blind collectivist. Rather, as I have remarked repeatedly in the past, I am trying to emphasize my belief that spirtuality should be between the individual and god. Nothing more. Any other human interaction pollutes the sincerity of the bond. Maybe one day I'll figure it out.
that's why they call it a debate and discussion board. pretty simple concept right? or would you rather have a circle-jerk of agreement?
Oops, hadn't meant to click submit. She certainly had many of the same characteristics, including the doubts of being abandoned by God. Oh, and I live in Oklahoma.... In regard to the original topic, not only do Christians not trust other religions, they even scorn other Christian denominations. Sure, sure, 'Not all Christians', but certainly the majority that openly talk about their religion in Oklahoma.
You don't have any more proof for this than anyone else has against it. This is your opinion DaDa. Please let me know in your next post if you admit it's your opinion or want to show me that it's somehow factual (with proof/evidence ofcourse).
What's alot to you? The % of a certain group or just that due to the sheer size of Christianity you are going to find enough people who do these things. To be honest there's no reason to attack Christianity as a whole just b/c of a few. If you feel strongly about something you will defend it to a tee. I see people do that on this site regarding someone talking about America (Ex. "G-d Damn America") In every group there are haters and hypocrates but something like that is like putting up 10 things I hate about "some" Black people or White people. Its offensive to all
I was just speaking of Christianity because I thought this thread was about that specific religion. Yes, all religions have their extremists.
I think that is a human thing to do though. I am not saying that all Christians are bad but the number of ones I have seen that make completely foolish statements and twist Biblical text to fit their own perceptions and needs is enough to make me stay away from it. I am not bashing the entire religion, just those that make those misconceptions about other group who don't fit their mold. This is true but when people feel strongly about it I just leave them alone as noted by some of my other posts. I may present my view, which may be totally opposite, then if the other keeps going and going without trying to see where I am coming from I just leave it alone. I really try to see problems from all viewpoints and angles. This is true but a lot of those offended are also the ones who do what is proclaimed.
