Steve is going to have a career night. Since the Rockets showed lots of emotion against Rudy T's return, I can only imagine what will happen when Steve and Cuttino return. Especially Cuttino and Steve knowing that their JERSEY NUMBERS are taken by SCRUBS.

Kelvin Cato and Francis were pointing out after the game that even though they scored a lot, they gave up 108 points and won't win many games if they let that happen.

It's going to be wierd going to a Rockets game and having the home crowd cheer for the visitors and boo the home team.

I haven't gotten to see much of Orlando this year but for those who have. In terms of defense from Mobley, Cato and Francis; how much of Van Gundy has stuck with them?

Cato and Mobley were good defenders before Gumby so they are the same. Francis seems like he is putting more effort like he did last year.

I think JVG is overrated when it comes to D. The reason our defense was slightly better last year was because he put Cato in the 4 spot and he got Francis to try. JVG also cheats the offense for his defense like sending everyone back except the center as soon as a shot is attempted. That eliminates fast breaks for the other team but also eliminates offensive rebounds for ourselves.

First game back, they wanted to hold down his minutes but he will be the starter, there's no way Deshawn Stevenson holds on to that spot.

Actually I didn't enjoy the game at all. Sure, it's nice to see SF and Cat are doing well in Orlando. No bitterness, although I root for the Raptors:) I didn't enjoy it just because that's not really a professional ball game. It's shooting around in practice. No defense at all.

I guess you didn't enjoy the showtime lakers because they scored over 120 all the time.

as far as D, mobley's been out for nine games so i haven't seen him really, but i assume he's still going to do well.

cato was good before jvg, good with jvg, and is good now. he's actually blocking more than he ever did with us, but his blocks will probably come down a little.

francis looks to be going back to his lax, look at the ball and lose his man ways, and he allowed a lot of penetration last night, but he's still a rebounding machine for a pg and has gotten several rebounds on or tipped it away from big men this year.

and while there wasn't much D yesterday, it wasn't all-star game D or anything. it was just good offensive basketball and fun to watch teams actually getting up and down.

Just another note the Sonics Utah game went into Ot with a final score of 129-119 while not nearly as impressive as Orlando putting up 129 in regulation what stood out for me was that the sonics scored 19 points in the OT period. Yes 19!!! At that scoring rate they would have scored roughly 42 points for the quarter!!

Nice to see the Magic, esp our old boys and Hill doing well.

And yes Howard is shaping to be a real nice prospect for the future. It seems that his game is a better compliment to steve's and mobleys than Yao's.

Now if we can get off the ground and back over 500+ I'd be a great season
