All being said, this guy still makes 20M and lots of people still have the fantasies that he can suddenly be worthy of that amount of money simply because he is making that amount of money. Ryan Anderson is the most beloved player ever in Chinese Rockets fans forum, gets more love than Yao, Tmac, Battier, Harden, CP, more than everyone. At first, they say the space he creates by simply standing outside of the 3 point line is worthy of more than 20M, Harden can't drive without this space, this popular comment earns him the nickname "Standing Mamba", which evolved to "Sitting Mamba" after he got DNP, implying that by sitting on the bench he is creating more space because his position is even further away from the rim. Lots of Chinese Rockets fans blame MDA for not running plays for him, for not letting him post up and shoot mid-range, blame CP and Harden for not passing him the ball, blame Morey for giving him the big contract, but appreciate his working ethic. I know the fanboyism over Ryno here is not that severe as compared to that in China, but it's still a very interesting social psychology phenomenon that it still exists.
