No, I'm not kidding. And Joe Wilson is a crappy example. He has a long history of racist behavior. I said unfairly. Try again.
color me curious, but why would such an obviously smart, articulate young man feel the need to speak in dialect when addressing this particular audience?
same reason an obviously northeastern born, boarding school educated, blue blooded american feels the need to where cowboy boots (while clearin brush off the ranch) or better yet a flight suit when addressing particular audiences No Cred
okay, at first I thought you were saying that since he was greeting a black person he was greeting me since we're all the same. glad you wouldn't say that, btw answer to your previous question that's him just relating to us regular folk
he's greeting a black person in the carrier photo? never noticed, but the hair looks blond. you may be more attuned to these things than i. EDIT: not hair, but part of the flight suit? seriously, how could you possibly determine race from that pic, unless you're the color purple? as to the brush photo, what else would you wear to clear brush?
Basso I know you are being a little obtuse here, but I will play along. You are pointing out that Obama is catering to his audience the mere fact that bush is clearing brush on his ranch (probably while some crisis is happening on one of his many vacation days) is catering to his audience.
the boots were your primary point, as indicated by the parenthetical. i don't see what the big deal is. and brush clearing is fine exercise- not sure why you'd have a ranch if you didn't expect to spend some time clearing. Reagan enjoyed it as well, IIRC.
Umm no it wasn't, the primary point was the many costumes yeah, bush answering reporters while just happening to be clearing brush was never a staged event right?
of course it was staged. not sure why that's relevant. do you enjoy Obama adoptin' the negro dialect of his audience in the clip i linked to?
A) Obama is basically admitting that's what he's gonna do when trying to be like the preachers in the audience, b) Obama and the preachers' politics genuinely align, he's not try to fool anybody c) on point b. I can't say the same about bush, who basically uses these costumes to build rapport with people whom he has no interest in their needs
