Regrouping after the Butler saga

    Ironic because Paul George and Butler are essentially similar players with Paul George being better at the overall game and having more length.

    Can someone clarify why exactly we couldn't get Butler? Was it because we weren't willing to give up both Gordon and Tucker? Or did Minny just prefer Philly's offer more regardless?

    I really hope it was something else because that would be a huge gaffe by Morey.

    Imagine saying "No thanks" to Jimmy Butler because you valued P.J. Tucker, who by the way just scored ZERO points in 36 minutes in this OKC choke loss

    i never thought we would trade for butler because he was only going to be a one-year rental. i just could not fathom tilman giving him a MAX contract next summer and paying that huge tax bill

    We gave two offers to Minnie, Knight and Chriss with four 1st rounders and Gordon with two.

    Minnie apparently liked Covington and Saric more, Stein also said that they weren't exactly thrilled to trade Butler to another team in the West.
