Weak, as always. No contributions, just a bunch of empty criticisms that provide no insights. Why bother coming to this thread, go to the Tank For Zion thread hahaha.

i was never that enamoured with getting butler on this team so for me today's not that big a disappointment.

but for harden the window is closing fast. in previous seasons he was able to will this team to 55 wins by regularly dropping 40 when necessary, along with double digit rebounds. that kind of production already doesn't seem normalplace this season now.

frankly, morey has had plenty of years to build a championship supporting cast around harden. last year he fuked around with unfathomable scrubs on the roster like bobby brown, nanu, etc instead of getting a reliable backup for CP3. that hurt us the first month of the season and of course, the last 2 games of the postseason.

i fear this will be morey's legacy, for a variety of reasons never having completed a roster around a once-in-a-generation player JH13.

I think we need to focus on the Wizards right now. And frankly, I think we should try to trade for Oubre and Porter, I know his contract is stupidly big but...we really dont have a choice, we need shooting on this team and we need it badly.

our assets are limited and the owner is on record saying he will absolutely not pay the repeater tax, so i don't see how he takes on porter's contract

If we were willing to use those 4 firsts(not all of them I guess, well idk), I would use them now for trades. I dont care about picks, I care about chips, but i would understand if people thought i was crazy by even suggesting this haha. Tillman...yea thats a problem...sigh.

No thanks. I'd rather thank than trade for him. Hes also injured pretty often. Just hardly moves the needle.

Who Porter? Listen, he's playing in a Scott Brook's offense, thats not ideal. In our offense with our players(with those shooting splits), yea I think he could make a difference.

he's the same age as harden, not good enough to really make much of an impact, and makes $20M/yr

Really nothing to get excited over for the rest of the season now. We're a bad team with essentially no avenue for a 3rd (2nd?) star now. Gonna be a long year, my friends.

    Yup.

And given where the team ended up last season, and what the stakes were, as it is right now, this off-season will go down as probably his worst.

Destroying the team chemistry by letting two impact players go.

Bringing in a bunch of scrubs that cant play and one being a negative impact to team chemistry.

Abandoning the importance of defense, the very thing that made this team successful against the Warriors.

Getting players that simply do not fit the team's system.

A three point shooting team getting MCW??

A team with excellent chemistry last season getting Melo?? His love for Melo...had to learn it the hard way.

Got rid of Anderson but could only manage to split that one giant scrub contract into two scrub contracts. Anderson still continues to hurt this team.

We went from hoping to get Lebron James to actually getting certified scrubs that no one else wanted.

    Dayum Morey...

We definitely need a shooter but we can’t sacrifice on defense. Who are some good 3 and D guys that shoot 40%+ from 3? That’s who we should focus on acquiring. Hoping Ariza is bought out.

But what’s really hurting us is CP3/EGO/Capela/Harden are not on the same page offensively and the first two aren’t finishing or shooting well at all. We have potent scorers and passers yet we are ranked 27th in offense and dead last in shooting percentage. The abscence s of Ariza and Luc can not explain that.

#It's not the same team and we likely won't run it back. Simple as that.

But it basically is the same team. Luc didn’t play much at all in playoffs and basically not at all against GSW. Does trading Ariza for Ennis/Melo make you THAT much worse? Hard to believe that.

Yep, admittedly, they do not play like last year's team.

The record 4-6 is not the problem at all. The problem is that we got blown out in the middle of the games 5 times so far.
    Thunder without Westbrook and Roberson
    Clippers
    Jazz
    Blazers
    Pelicans

Coach has not been able to fix the offense, and is highly unlikely to fix the offense within 3 months.

Trade Knight/4 picks is absolutely needed.

Definitely an overreaction to what harden and Morey can do and not do anymore. The year after we went to the WCF harden did as much as he could and we still were an 8th seed with the addition of Lawson. The issue I agree with you is the bad offseason with guys like melo mcw but it’s our team mojo man. This is happened twice both after wcf appearances, I feel like the team isn’t hungry and don’t feel like they can dethrone GS with what they have. A jimmy butler on this team would be interesting but a risk of him bouncing after this year with Gordon and 4 picks could be the end of a good successful franchise as we know it. Our window is as long as harden is in his prime which should be another 3-4 years. Definitely title or bust and I think Morey did what he could with 4 picks, just have to find a team willing to actually take the deal.
