The worst part of this trade is that we signed then waived Covington back in 2014. Imagine if we had him now to the current deal he is on - he is obviously more valuable then EGO and went undrafted ffs!

    Bazemore to Houston
    Knight, Nene, 1st to Atlanta
    Korver to Houston
    Chriss, Qi 2nd to Cleveland

We then refocus efforts in finding a quality back up 4/5

Just added a bullet point to the GOOD side. Can't believe this one got past me, but it's probably the biggest of all:

Now that Butler's officially off the table, Murrhey can focus on players who might actually be obtainable.

It’s actually interesting how guys like Korver and Redick can help to give a boost to an offense just running off some simple screen sets. You don’t need to do a whole floppy action, just some quick pin downs, then if the shot isn’t there, they pass it out and you go into a quick pick and roll, etc, but guys like that can certainly help to get the opposing defense moving. If Anthony Morrow could have figured out how to be a smart defender like those two, he could have stuck around in that kind of role.

Wayne Ellington is a less talked about guy that can also fit that role, he’s good moving off the ball and in catch and shoot, but at his size, the fit on the Rockets would be odd with Gordon there.

    GENIUS!

How soon, according to CBA, he will become available for the trade tho?

Absolute nightmare of an off-season after Morey bragging how everyone would be lining up to play for this team.

The arrogance..the hubris.... talk about being humbled.

It has sealed the fate for Harden-Paul years.

A lot of work needs to be done so that it doesn't end up wasting Harden's prime years as well.

I dont think he would be a half player he is without getting all the PT he got on the sixers

The Rockets just "re-acquired" their own 4 First round picks! ;)

It would be nice to get good 3 point shooters. This team is full of rec league chuckers and no professional shooters.

He should have been groomed to replace Ariza... either way we wouldn't be in this predicament had we kept him on our roster.

Clint is not in any kind of funk. He's averaging 16pts, 11rbs, 2blks, and 2asts per game. Clint is not the problem. Period.

As a matter of fact. Clint seems to be taking his game to the next level. Anyone notice Clint has made some nice passes from inside the paint to the perimeter. He's progressing nicely.

If you want to take it further, looks like they will be some nice picks as well.

Stats and improved passing aside, Clint's been noticeably slow on defense and has been repeatedly pushed out of position on rebounds.

I agree that he's not the main problem, but he does seem to be taking it easy more than he did last year.

Honestly he probably feels like everybody else is tanking it. I'm sure if the team was playing well he would continue to elevate his game.

Not all is lost no way that trade would have fixed the problems

Yea we need to bench MCW until we can waive him or send him in a package as filler.

Green needs to come out as the 3rd option not as the bench 2nd option.
We need to send Hartestein to the G League or bench him. He makes too many mistakes on both ends. He isn’t ready.

Guys just need to focus and play so defense and start shooting better. Is like Eric, cp3 Melo in fact everyone on the team doesn’t know how to shoot anymore especially cp3.

I’m sure morey will get some help or make some moves this season. Last year we didn’t wanna mess with the flow much but this year we do need to move some guys.

MCW, chriss, knight ( if he doesn’t work out) maybe Eric if we can find someone.
