Reggie is the same guy that when one beetwen Westbrook and Curry makes a great play says "Ohohoh...he's on fire" while when Harden does it -> (speaking about the other team defense) "that's too easy...too easy" so, yeah...

    Thanks for posting this.

I had my pitchfork out until I listened to the segment -- I actually think Miller was pretty fair and certainly was very complimentary of Harden. I disagree with him, but he makes fair points on GF's accomplishments this year.

He's just mad that he's not gonna be holding on to his #2 spot in the all time 3 pointers made list and will be eventually over taken by Harden.

Reggie Miller might actually be retarted. Sorry if that offends anyone, but I’m not even joking, my 5 year old niece has better logic and I bet she has a higher IQ.

If you compare his stats compared to last season, you'll see there isn't that much of a difference. The main reason the Bucks are winning this year is because of the coach and because other players are contributing a lot more. Also, they've been pretty much healthy all season.

People always bring up defense for Giannis as a big reason...... but the guy is 6ft 11. He's going to have big advantage over most people he's going to guard against. He's got the reach, the strength and the body for the most part. If I were 6ft 11 and 240 lbs, I'd expect to be a good defender for the most part. Harden can guard players with a big weight and height advantage for the most part. That takes far more skill.

Compare the games for both players this season and you'll see Harden's are far more impressive. He's had to carry, whilst Giannis has still needed other players to contribute a great deal for the most part. Harden has dropped 30 plus points for 51 games, 40 plus points for 27 games, 50 plus points for 8 games, and he's also dropped 2 games of 60 plus points or more. Giannis hasn't even come close to those numbers. Also, let's factor in how these guys get the majority of their points. Giannis relies on his teammates setting him up for the most..... and when he doesn't need his teammates, he just bullies his way into the paint to score a layup or dunk in the paint. He can't shoot a 3 pointer, mid-randge, post shot or fade shots. He can't really iso that well. His passing isn't that great. He isn't that great from the free throw line. Harden can do all of that.... and on a consistent basis. The only thing Harden can't do as well as Giannis is bully is way into the paint and hit a contested layup or dunk. But he's not 6ft 11 and 240 lbs plus.

At the end of the day, Giannis is having a good season, but Harden is having a historic one. If Giannis wins, it'll be the biggest injustice in NBA history. It also seems when Harden should be a clear winner, they always make a case for another guy, despite that other guy not even putting up the numbers Harden does on daily basis.

From a legacy point of view, Miller is not even on the same level as Harden. Harden is a perennial MVP candidate, Miller was never really in any MVP conversation. Harden will pass him in all time 3 pointers made in two years, actually Harden has the chance to be first all time if he plays two more seasons than Curry does, which considering their age difference is quite possible.

Thing is, Harden didn't use the stepback in '17.

I think James smashed one of his cousins then quit her.

Regardless, he's holding a grudge some kinda way.

The Bucks have a better record because they're playing against lesser competition. Bucks wins are inflated...the east is still weak compared to the west! If Rockets were in the east we'd have the same record or better!! Don't get me wrong...Giannis is a great player but what Harden is doing is HISTORIC..he should be MVP!! It goes Wilt, Jordan....HARDEN and Harden has a chance to pass Jordan..absolutely historic season!

Miller is probably the most one dimensional star in league history -- can't dribble or pass, plus wack defense. His career rebounding and assists totals are shamefully low for a star player. A freakin guard who can't dribble... lol.

I really think this is the best argument for Harden.

I think overall stats are pretty even.

I think the record disparity is can be explained to a draw with our injuries and their easy schedule.

But look at these guys and their situations last year and then ask yourself what changed this year?

Still think your average MVP voter probably has no business having a vote. Still think way too many don’t speak the language of advanced stats. And too many will just forget the circumstances that led to the records the teams have.

And so I still think Giannis is going to win this one.

Here's another way to look at it: Let Giannis win. Since 1998-1999, the MVP winner has only went on and win a championship 5 times for a 25% success rate. Maybe the Basketball Gods will bestow Championship and NBA Finals MVP Hardware on the Beard so he can take his rightful place as a Top 3 shooting guard of all time by season's end.
