Reggie Jackson invented the bat flip and stare and slow trot around the bases "let the kids play" and all, but they need to know where it came from
I must have missed it... but is he a member of the Astros organization now? I saw him earlier in the playoffs at MMP. Now he's sitting in the luxury boxes with credentials and an Astros hat. My Yankees fan friends are very confused. They think he's just being a good Yankee and rooting against the Red Sox. I told them he was not in Tampa earlier in the series. They simply shrugged their shoulders, said "buzzer?" and walked away. EDIT: Found the info here:https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/19/sports/baseball/reggie-jackson-houston-astros.html
Sorry... didn't watch the video... but certainly saw the original tweet when it was first posted and went viral. Thanks!
Legends of broadcasting here. Cosell/Kubek/Keith Jackson/Curt Gowdy/Garagiola/Scully Love listening to these guys call a game as much as seeing the highlights.
Yogi Berra, Reggie Jackson. They all end up with the Yankee Killers at some point, either dead or alive.
I heard someone on radio report Clemens was in town too. I love former great's identifying with the Astros, even if they never played here or left for the payday.
Clemens was the color commentator for the ESPN broadcast last night. He quickly pointed out that something didn't look right with Pressly. He's always called Houston home so he's around the team quite a bit. At times he's had one of those "personal services contracts" with the Astros.
