Didn't watch much of him when he started last year. How does he compare to the league average starting pg?
Reggie would be a nice starting PG for a contending team. In otherwards...if the Rockets could find a way to get an elite rebound stretch four next to Dwight, Reggie would be terrific.
That is really going to hurt the Thunder if he can get such a contract from someone. Very difficult for Presti to match such a deal given the status of Durant and Westbrook as well their owner's hatred of the luxury tax.
The wheels will fall off OKC in 2016 when KD leaves and a year later when WB and Ibaka leave. They wasted so many prime years with a sorry coach and blew their opportunity.
Does anyone really expect the thunder to pour that much money into a sixth man backup? Didn't even max extend harden, no way in hell they keep Reggie. Maybe we could get him for desperation cheap at trade deadline. Thunder slowly just losing all their assets.
If OKC Was smart, they would start him next to Westbrook. The guy is good, would def be an average starting pg in the nba or a good 6th man
I would love to have reggie jackson here. I know this board is so caught up on getting Durant but I think it will be another Bosh debacle. If Jackson is available let's pick him up and roll with it.
Just like with Harden, starting has nothing to do with it. RJ is their 2nd best guard and calling him a backup is misleading. In today's NBA, it's more about finishing than starting. Think of Manu. When Pop "benched" him several years ago, it did not affect his value to the team at all. Sure enough if Presti wouldn't pay Harden 4yrs/$58MM, he ain't giving RJ a max contract now. The more KD sees the limitations of the Thunder franchise, the more likely he's leaving. IMO, it will become obvious during this season KD will bolt in 2016. Presti may be thinking nobody can pay KD like they can, but it won't be about money. KD is not Melo. He will leave for a franchise that is better equipped to win championships. I believe the Rockets will be on his short list.
