But, and this is just my opinion, at some point you have to come to what I see as an eventual block in the road: this is a tough game to call. Get the best minds, the best athletes, train them from birth, pay them in the high six-figures ... it's still a damn-near impossible game to call. The money would help. Then again, the best ones are already making the high-six figures. Word just needs to get out that there is money to be made.
I immediately thought of this photochop from two years ago that Clutch did when I heard the news... So I remixed it a bit... Enjoy!
It's all those playoff games factored in, really only three or four of them from what I was told. I should point that out. Crawford was, I'd venture to say, one of them.
Whoa. Look at this transcript from the Dan Patrick (DP) show with David Stern (DS): -Can he appeal?- DP I’m available for appeal, but it’s not going to happen. He thinks he did the right thing and he would do it again if it happened again.- DS
joey screwed up..he should have T'd him up while duncan was complaining..don't be an idiot and look over at the bench and start callin techinicals.. he got have got away with it.
Let this be fair warning for all refs who do not call a foul for Yao!! David Stern is watching yo azz!!
Stern just said Crawford doesn't want to be a referee anymore. Wow. Also said has had a bad history of losing control in a game.
Stern just said that Crawford "doesn't think he did anything wrong and probably doesn't wish to work in the league anymore."
When i heard that i was shocked! i cant believe it.. despite that call.. hes a veteran official who generally is a good ref
stern just said we have probably seen the last of Crawford because Crawford feels he did nothing wrong and is offended. SWEET JESUS!!!!!!!!! THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!! HALLELUJUA(however u spell it). I HATE him more than anyone in the NBA. Son of a b**** thinks he is bigger than the game and hands out technicals like its candy.
Beat me to it Im completely shocked, but I think Joey has a huge ego that unfortunately gets in his way of officiating to the best standards without interfering with the game itself. A referree should never make such a spectacle of himself
Yeah, and he said Duncan complaining had nothing to do with it. Even though it was a new rule this year. You can't argue and you can't touch the ref. If you do it's an automatic tech. Stern is such a hypocrite. I'm starting to hate this league more and more....
