Reminder that Steph Curry and Chris Paul shot 32.4% and 37% FG%, respectively, in their summer league games years ago.

Kid was gassed by the 4th. Been missing 3s short since Game 2. All in all it's good for them to experience with 3 games in 4 nights feels like even though it's the stupidest thing the schedule makers do. Shut him down unless he wants to give it another go on Friday.

Yeah there's no need for him and Cam to play again now. Let them get ready for camp.

    Deep 6…on the line…GO.

Udoka needs to push him. A lot of guys won’t respond to that. This guy will. Bust his ass in practice.

Really surprised the Rockets played them so much in game 2, just to throw them in again in game 3.

    Super bizarre.

don't coddle them. they'll have plenty rest time on the bench once the season begins. run them 48 mins next game.

This is a hell of a co-sign. If you watch his film his game and ceiling remind of Price.

As others mentioned Mark Price would be a beast in this era.

He can’t finish strong in the paint, even in the first two games. He just awkwardly flicks the ball up in the air with no chance of it going in.

I think expectations for the season from Sheppard have gone from too low to too high after the first 2 SL games. I loved the pick, and think he'll be exceptional 3 or 4 years from now, I don't expect a ton this season.

If you look at all of the favorite comps (Price,Nash,FVV,Stockton) they took a few years to become valuable players. CP3 is the only significant outlier in his mold, and he had significantly better handles and legendary court awareness. When you are an undersized player and can't physically impose yourself in any way, knowledge from experience is premium.

He has an advantage that the game is less physical, and 3's are more valuable than ever so I don't think he will adapt as slow, but it will take a little time (and that's OK). If he's a 20 MPG contributor at years end I'll be thrilled

You’re right! What a compliment for Reed. Folks don’t remember how nice Mark Price was. He’s also part of one of the best single draft hauls in NBA history. The Cavs drafted Brad Daugherty, Ron Harper, Mark Price & Johnny Newman in the 1986 draft.

He deleted this tweet and unfollowed him after last night's game.

I can't get too down on him despite his first inefficient game, he played 98 minutes of basketball in 4 days, during the middle of summer with no training camp to build up his conditioning to the level needed for that kind of thing. That basically took away his 3 point shot because his legs weren't under him and he was still finding ways to impact the game positively on defense and making great passes....that ended up being wasted by the scrubs he was out there with more often than not.

IMO the team did this on purpose, to teach him the lesson of how important conditioning is.....and how much better it will have to be than in college.

That's why I think he's better off having been pushed beyond his breaking point against a really physical fully rested team desperate for a win so early in his career.

Reed & Cam are ballers and should be shut down. Let them train and get ready for the season. We’ll need them at some point healthy and ready to contribute. We’ve seen enough in summer league. Let’s get to work.

i am super happy that reed looks better at pg than sg. this is what i had no idea about and will be the deciding factor on how much he plays and how good he'll end up. didn't like seeing him standing in the corner as a spot up shooter, which i feared would be how the rox might use him. we have to see it at the nba level but if he can play remotely at pg like he has in sl, then i'm willing to end the amen at pg fantasy for good.
