Sheppard is more capable of backing up FVV right now than Amen is. Amen can fill at the 3 and 4 for now like he did last season. Reed will likely start off in the Aaron Holliday role
Backup to FVV. Amen should be at SF. FVV/Reed Green/Cam Brooks/Amen Jabari/Tari Sengun/Landale/Adams Have all the young pieces and picks for an eventual trade.
1. Secure lottery pick from BRK - check 2. Draft dead-eye shooter - check 3. Sign Jalen Smith with NT-MLE 4. Trade Brooks for Jonathan Isaac 5. 2025 - 2nd round exit + add 2025 FRP 6. 2026 - Ship 7. 2027 - Repeat Champs FVV - Shep Thrilla - Amen Isaac - Cam Bari - Tari Sengawd - Adams / Smith
Clingan didn’t get drafted until midway through the lottery? Clingan’s PR team the equivalent of going to your friend’s Harvard graduation and then selling yourself as a Harvard grad…meanwhile u graduated 3.0 GPA with a degree in dance theory from the local college
Many here only look at the offensive side; which would be great if we only played on our offensive side.....but we don't. I would attack Sheppard on defense every trip down the court. *Forced switch having a Center pin Sheppard under the rim. *Heavy bodies leaning against him near the rim will effect his shooting. A lot of shooting .............................COMES FROM THE LEGS. Weary legs tend not to shoot well in the NBA. *Draymond Green protected Steph's back all his career. Rockets defenders will need to .............................leave their man to help out. *I would rest my starting PG or SG minutes before Sheppard enters, then bring that player .............................in, "said player" will cook Sheppard and our opponents will build a 10 to ............................ 15 point lead during those stretches. Reed isn't coming off the bench for Kentucky anymore.....it's the NBA now
Hope he can get his shot off against good NBA defenders. If better be a good passer. Hope I'm needlessly worried.
Sheppard in Houston Dillingham in San Antonio Kentucky boys now Texas boys. Very cool. OOPS!! Just got sent to Minnesota! LOL
Agree about the role. I need to hear more about Sheppard's potential at PG. Amen seems to fit better at SF. This pick makes the most sense if they see Reed fitting in at the FVV role.
He's a hard worker, he can be a backup PG and a 3 point shooter off the bench. He's a safe pick in a weak draft, but I feel he will be a good player in a few years. Fans will have to be patient with him. I'm glad FVV can be a mentor for him.
