Tick tock suggests the clock is ticking and that there is pressure for him to show something or he won't be around much longer. So that might be nothing, or it might be bad news depending on how his season goes.
Or it could mean for the Rockets to extend him, but who knows. Either way makes sense. I like Codman, but I wish there didn’t always have to be a mystery to solve.
My concern is that the Rockets likely don't want to go over 2nd apron next season. Unless KD signs for like 2/100 or less, it won't be easy without trading someone else.
I took that to be the 2 options, show whatever they need to see and get extended, don't show whatever they need to see and not be extended.
Plus how much and his medical reports. Tari is a tough one. I’m in the no need to extend him right now unless he is a bargain which to me is between 15 and 20m a year.
He's had one injury and he's on the path to recovery that guys that don't have issues for 5-6 years are on. Sure, he could have injury issues going forward, but he's not that much more of a risk based on public information than most players his age.
No mystery. The Rockets have more talent than ever, more depth at certain positions and money, minutes and monetary respect are coming into play. I like Tari, too. Apparently, he's not unhappy like Cam was, but he wants what his peers are getting. The Rockets are going to have to make a tough choice. Thankfully, our entire roster is in high demand.
If he wants Jabari money, he should be traded. He has played 22 and 57 games the last 2 years. I don’t know what the medicals say about a future prognosis, but money is a big factor and the salary cap has to be managed very well to take advantage of this wonderful core of players we have for many years. Tari has to prove he can stay on the floor to get Jabari money (who I’m guessing he is considering his “peer”.)
Need Amen to talk Tari into taking less money for keeping the Terror Twins intact. Or someone talk KD into giving us a huge discount.
