Castle was 43rd in vorp for rookies, 32nd in BPM, 37th in ws/48. Rookie of the year lmao. Of the 569 players who played this season, castle was 545th in vorp.
I wonder if Reed would have been in contention for ROY if the Spurs had ended up drafting him and we went a different direction.
It's so annoying how passive Reed was again in the opportunity that he had. He just passes off and runs to the corner where he is completely useless. Can somebody tell him to take the bull by the horns and not give up the ball early but try to find his shot or run the offense? He should control the offense and focus on prioritizing his shot first and not run away from the play. If he cannot find his aggression then he might as well find another job. He has so much talent but he seems to not understand what he has.
Yeah I just don’t get it. Reed is open, shoot the damn ball. But no he always wants to make an extra pass
To bad Ime put him out there with a completely dysfunctional lineup that had Tari Eason thinking he should try to run the point. Reed was the only bright spot of that abortion
was at the game. Reed picked up his dribble just across half court w/ no easy pass available multiple times. spencer worked him over a few times and IME called a TO after which Holiday was switched on Spencer. I don’t know how the box score looks but it was unfortunately a bad performance. He was in vs bench scrubs and he got a huge ovation so we were all hyped. Unfortunate.
Really, So based on your logic Steph Curry is wide open so he should pass the ball to Draymond Green for a 3… like a pg? Maybe, just maybe the 3 point specialist should shoot the ball when he’s wide open
I'm a Reed supporter, but I still think it would be ideal if the Rockets could draft another promising PG prospect in the draft. Let them fight it out for Fred's minutes.
If he was wide open, sure. A PG doesn't typically just chuck it every time they can. Steph being the exception to the rule, being the greatest shooter in NBA history.
Wasn't even all 3rd stringers. The reason that set of players was so terrible together was that you had Jabari and Tari in there wanting to run the offense instead of sticking to their role PLUS you had Aaron Holiday who is a flat out ball hog no matter who he is in the game with. Then you have Jock who was basically worthless out there. If Ime was an actual coach, he'd have put in a competent set of guys out there and never had to put back in the starters, but he fundamentally has no clue when it comes to which guys belong on the court together. When you have PG Tari and 0 shots from Reed, you know everything is stupid.....but that's just Ime. He'd get outcoached by AAU head coaches. He's all vibes and BS.
I'd rather he not do what you're saying and keep playing smart basketball and not forcing bad shots. Also, it's obvious that Ime wanted Holiday to run the offense. But besides that Reed was open quite a few times out there and the guys he was on the court with failed to find him Like Holiday who stupidly drove into the pain with defenders in there and bricked a layup when he had a wide open Reed right next to him. Really the only glaring bad thing he did was try to force that pass in to Landale where he got the TO.
