LOL doubling down on the fact that you don't know what a PG is.

Good start young man. Right now, I dont think he can do much more with all the others in front of him. It will take bounds and leaps for Ime to trust him over Fred. He will get better and better as the season goes.

He needs playing time to get confidence, I would send him to the Gleague to work at the PG spot.

Sheppard just being on the court provides so much spacing. They actually ran something for him today, it was a decent look, he just missed it. I think if they keep getting him minutes he'll get better and better.

I believe it was around the last week of January when Ime began trusting Amen last season.

I think it was when Brooks got hurt. Ime was forced to play Amen more. It will probably take an injury, unfortunately, for Reed to have a real chance.

You have some nerve to compare Sengun's rookie situation to Reed Sheppard. Is it Udoka's fault Sheppard is playing like a scrub when he gets minutes?

But I guess this is par for the course from the dude who thought Jalen Green was gonna be the next Corey Brewer.

Lol yes I know you'd think he was doing much better if he was chucking up 20 shots to score 16 points.... but given that you don't know ball, it's probably a good thing if you don't like a player.

He isn't playing like a scrub though....just playing within his limits.

If you want a true scrub performance, you get to see Alex Sarr tomorrow.

He’s 19. He played 1 yr of college ball coming off the bench. Ten games in the NBA. He’s getting used to the flow of the NBA game. If he’s still tentative by all star break it’s fair to criticize, but u gotta give this kid some time to adjust. It’s guys like Bari who are in year 3 and still underperforming that we should be concerned about. And a Jalen poster dunk amidst poor shooting ain’t worth $36mil. So I’m not worried about Reed. I’m worried about our other #3 picks.

If he’s not ready for Prime Time yet, he should be in the G League with Cam.

Wow, a lot of you guys still don't get it.
Think of it this way. Most of the top 10 rookies are currently logging in lots of minutes a night. Whether it's in the pros or in the Gleague. Not Reed. He is having his game stagnated with some minutes here and a few minutes there. He should have been sent to the Valley to log in many minutes.

Sheppard made an impact even in his limited minutes out there vs. the Pistons. One great assist driving and kicking it out to Eason, and three rebounds including a pure hustle one where he dives into the trees from the perimeter. You can tell he's trying to contribute any way he can.

This. He does need to let it fly more. But I think he’ll get there.

    Let’s break this down.

“Most of the top 10 are logging lots of minutes”

5 players picked in the top 10, are in top 10 for minutes. And if you do average minutes per game that drops to 4.

Of these guys logging lots of minutes, their teams had horrible or worse records than than the Rockets so there were actually open minutes to pick up - not a jam at the guard position to figure out the fit.

    But yes, please, carry on.
