He's looked much better than Sheppard.

Based on what? The fact that you wish it was the case?

Based off of facts. He started off playing better back in SL. While Reed started regressing, Castle kept progressing. All the way til he was able to get minutes. Unlike Reed.

    Really? What facts?

I get it, you are SUPER impressed by Castle chucking a ton of shots....and that he's been given more playing time....but neither of those really support what you wish was true.

    We're talking about a guy that can't make 20% of his 3's who has a hilariously pathetic 40% TS%.

I get that you are somewhat invested in him, but the facts simply don't support your narrative. Perhaps keep it in your pants until you can support the BS you are saying.

Yes, but teams supposedly looking for a point guards.....should want what was considered the best point
guard in the draft. Spurs supposedly just needed a point guards that could shoot and pass a little in
order to have spacing for Wemby, Keldon Johnson and Vassell. Castle doesn't provide spacing.

Yes to trading out, but from the Suns picks and our own I didn't see us adding more unless
it was a cellar dweller......which would have increased our odds for Cooper Flagg or Ace Bailey.

My last option was drafting Reed Sheppard. Many on this board were saying Sheppard was
better than Jalen Green day 1. They looked like complete idiots to me then and still do.
Probably the same knuckle heads telling me TyTy was a great point guards coming out
of college. They would be wiser to not read what so-called scouts are saying. More like
PR firms over hyping their client.

I would have taken a first round pick from a middle of the pack team. The next 2 years are supposed to be pretty deep. If we kept the pick, I was in favor of taking Sheppard. In reality, it didn’t really matter because nobody in this draft is going to be good for several years at best. I do think Castle has a chance to be good down the line. I hope I’m wrong, but I think Sheppard will be a sharp shooter off the bench at best. I still have hopes that Cam can be good as he matures, but who knows, some people never mature.

We may not want to hear this, but I think OKC may have got the draft's best player with Topic.

Cam is in the G-league to work on 3-pointers and assists.......hello Reed? Sheppard?

G-league is calling...ring, ring, line 1 (see post above #3610)

Bronnie was always just a courtesy pick for Lebron. There wasn’t a GM in the league that thought he should have been in the draft. Lebron actually did a dis-service to his son. Cam is exactly where he needs to be right now getting his confidence so if we trade Brooks or someone gets injured he can take another shot. He desperately needs to mature.

I understand all that. LeBron forced the Lakers to take his son, scared every other team away,
insisted Bronny not go to G-league or be on 2-way contract. And yet Bronny is in the G-league
    while making 1st round money.

Exactly where Reed needs to be. For confidence

Yes. To all of that. Both Cam and Sheppard need to be in the g-league. They are not needed on this team right now, but they might be at some point this season and they need to be ready. G-League helped Cam his rookie year. It helped Amen as well. Confidence is a really key factor with young players. I think it is the main thing that is holding Jabari back.

Right now Carlton Carrington (Washington Wizards) might be challenging Edey for
    rookie of the year.

10.3 pts....5.1 Rebs.....5.3 Asts // 6'4" point guard off the bench. Cellar dweller.

Difference is Edey starts for a contender.

I made a comment that I would trade Jabari a few weeks back because his shot
is too flat and he hits what he aims at (front rim).

Since then I've noticed he is putting more loft in his shot.

He had more loft in college. I’m wondering if the increased difference had an impact on how he shoots. Who knows, I just think his form is pretty good and he will get it right as he matures.

Reed is the backup PG. Unless you want Holiday getting minutes or Brooks playing even more, Reed needs to be up with the NBA team.

Amen should be the backup PG along with Jalen.
