Because the team has essentially no talent outside of Reed, the Aussie center, and starting SG.

There’s levels to this thing… think about how Cam was able to dominate similar competition in summer league with sheer brute force. Those dudes couldn’t handle Cam’s strength, size, and athleticism.

It boggles my mind but a lot of people on this board don’t seem to appreciate the gap btw talented basketball players and NBA players…

Theres a very good reason NBA players are paid millions…

Reed's a bust, huh? The only real problem IMO is his confidence with the Rockets. He'll get there.

I still hope Sacramento is taking a long look. Cam/Reed/1 PHX pick for Fox. It's better than what Orlando is offering.

Very good G league debut for Reed. In the second half he was looking for his shot, and he was scorching the net. What a nice looking shot when he’s on his game.

Being that it was the G league, the speed and talent of the defenders isn’t NBA; but I would say Reed still had an amazing game that looks to be in line with the type of shots he should be getting at the NBA level.

Reed just needs a shot in the arm with confidence. He’s going to be a future star for the Rockets!

I guess we should credit Stone for making a savvy in-season move. He allowed Sheppard to create a whole new narrative with the Vipers and avoid the #1 vs #3 matchup with Sarr. In all likelihood, Sheppard wouldn’t have even played in this game.

That’s probably the extent of in-season moves except recalling Sheppard on Sunday. Count me in as surprised if the Rockets make any sort of deal at the trade deadline.

Stone moves far too deliberately to make a late move.

I agree, and not to be snarky, but this includes scoring 40+ in a loss, LOL.

Gosh, so nice to know he JUST NEEDED TO SHOOT THE BALL to have a game like that. I mean 33 attempts lol someone told the young man to let it fly and meant it.

Fred playing 40 mins while Reed only 10 minutes is unreasonable. Especially Fred has shiit shooting this season.

    Shooters has to shoot.
Ime needs to stop telling Reed to pass so much.

Nobody should play over 30 minutes unless they're on fire. Those minutes added can give Reed 18 minutes of playing time and 4 more for Cam until Jabari and Eason return.
Consider it New Wave Load Enhancement.

you’re forgetting defense… you really want Reed on the court guarding starting PGs for 20 mins a game ?

Well if that’s the case he should get a call up soon with FVV injury. Lets see how this plays out.

yep i hated how jimmer was done by the nba establishment.. jimmer was just drafted to the wrong team.. the kings back then was run like a dictatorship with how demarcus cousins would force jimmer and nik staukus to fight him if they took too many shots..

Even Vassilis Spanoulis was the T-Mac of the Greek league. That said, very happy for him. I think he's gonna be a real legend when it's all done.

Yeah "prime" Jimmer probably should of had a spot in the NBA. But he doesn't have the handles or vision (or creation) to be a PG. And he's a horrendous defender. So I get what you're saying, but it's not quite the same situation as Reed Sheppard imo.
