His one nice game in the g-league wasn’t as good as it seemed. It took him 34 shots to get his points. Not efficient at all. I’ve been defending him lately, but boy did we make a huge mistake not taking Clingan or trading down for Edey. Even if he fixes all his offensive woes, there’s the defensive side of the equation where he is nothing short of horrific.

To be fair getting to 50 points on 34 shots is extremely efficient, that’s Harden/SGA like. I want to see Reed force more shots and act like he actually think he belongs, not play like a mental midget who hides from the action.

Udoka is trying to win basketball games and historically there are very few rookies that contribute to winning basketball. There are even fewer when you are talking about rookie point guards. Reed isn't getting benched for being a bad shooter, he's getting benched for making mistakes that almost every rookie guard makes and Ime isn't willing to let him play through those mistakes in a competitive game.

I'm just pretending like we never had a 3rd pick in the first place. When Reed figures it out, hopefully not later than next year, it will be a heart warming surprise to me. "Where the hell did that guy come from?"

The pick itself of Reed in hindsight was pretty obvious by the front office, gotta get an heir apparent to FVV, there's already a log jam with the wings, the shooting with metrics off the charts, etc... But, to add size would have been my first priority, Clingham was my guy, how would that look off the bench right about now!? Kinda like another current-level Hartenstein to spell Sengun tbh...

McCain was the best choice all things considered, an elite combo guard that can score at will at the NBA level, but nobody saw that coming, Sixers pluck another great guard out of obscurity...

Jared McCain and Dalton Knecht were both relatively known before the Draft.

Not that they would be translating that well.......merely that they were NBA ready.

I heard it from the Presti fans.....

Cant cut ties now. His value is too low. Listen how meek his voice is in interviews. He is truly a scared kid amongst men. Hopefully he hits puberty next year.

That's just the reality of the situation. It doesn't mean Reed is ever going to be a great player.

I was never that high on him to begin with. I think he’ll have a solid career as a role player, but definitely not an all star.

Maybe if he was on a bad team he would get more playing time and we would get a couple of good games out of him.

How are we the only team not to get great point guards out of UK. Maxey, Fox, Herro, OKC guy, etc. We get TyTy and Reed and the tradition stops immediately.

Where is the proof of this?

Dude is shooting 27% from 3 and 41% TS on very low volume. When he doesnt do anything on the court and misses majority of his shots you dont think thats a big factor why he isnt playing?

We drafted a short white guy who isn't even a point guard, at #3 no less. Our franchise should be relegated and given the stupid hat.
