1/6, 0/2. Go ahead tell me again how Sheppard has almost perfect shooting mechanics while literally shooting the worst of any player on the team.

Lol you and Imanimal go well together both of you are delusional AF and don't live in reality. It doesnt matter what is really happening, you dont need any evidence to say the BS that you come up with.

I'm glad you're doubling down on a take that process you don't know even the basics when it comes to basketball.

    Now run along, you're dismissed.

Bruh thats you. Almost perfect shooting mechanics but misses every shot???

Have you ever played basketball? You know whats supposed to happen if people say you have almost perfect shooting mechanics? Do you know how the game is played?

Reed is a negative when he's not scoring.

Let me start by saying I like Reed, and have defended him. Now having seen a sample (still small, but seeing him out there more often lately), the concern I have with Reed is the low amount of shots for him at Kentucky.. For instance, Quentin Grimes (go coogs!) shot the ball 426 times his final year at U of H. 248 of them were 3s, and he hit 40%.

Reed shot 52% from 3s, but only 144 attempts. He only had 263 total shot attempts the entire year. Grimes nearly shot as many 3 pointers as Reed’s shot total in the year preceding their draft. Oh, and they averaged the exact same 12.5 PPG in college. One was chosen 25th, one was 3rd. The Rockets may have overvalued a stat that could turn out to be an anomaly. For reference - Reed was a 38.5% shooter in HS.

I hope not. I hope he succeeds. But, one play that concerned me more than the others was when he got the ball with maybe like 6-7 seconds on the 24 and went from free throw line extended to the top of the key. Shot clock running out and he had to jack up this 3 over Kyrie that was nowhere close. Wide left by a few feet. I don’t even think he hit the backboard. He couldn’t get his shot off over Kyrie, who is at best the same height as Reed. A bit concerning. He has to learn how to get his shot off against bigger guards. Hasn’t figured it out yet.

You don't have to be down on the prospect merely down on the season so far.

Lakers had to fail the Mark Williams physical because they regretted
    trading Dalton Knecht

On the bright side his defensive rating is really good at 107.9. His shooting is what concerns me most. Hopefully it improves over the rest of the season.

Reed is still struggling mightily. Did not have a good game against Toronto and was having serious trouble keeping Quickley in front of him. Wonder if a second stint in the G League is needed once FVV gets back. He’s rushing his shots and looking very nervous out there. Not sure one week was enough.

We have a lot of lotto picks though. We are no longer a bad team, he still gets the same freedom.

The G League isn’t going to magically give him the physical skills he needs to play. He needs to train in the offseason, get faster and stronger.

You can probably go ahead and seal the deal this guy is a bust, and will probably be bought out / traded by rockets by next year. G League star is a under statement, he's not looking like he can hang with the big boys.

He might be a good filler in a trade where some sees his value, where he needs a small market team to develop, Charlotte/ Washington trade maybe?

Doesn't mean he might drop but he is dead weight. Wonder where he will be at 25 , international? Maybe another Pat B career?

I hope the this All Stars games put down the "he isnt getting opportunities" argument to rest like how a rabid dog needs to get shot in the head.

Sheppard just sucks ass. No Ime Udoka, no "wining" reason excuses to lean on. Who to blame for 0 pt night this time?

@Bobbythegreat tell me who we should blame for Brickpard's 0 night? Jeremy Lin just hates Brickpard is that it? Reed should demand a trade from GLeague all stars and go to another team where he will be showcased and appreciated!!!

Jeremy Lin is ruining Sheppards almost perfect shooting mechanics!!! If you don't agree with me you don't know basketball!!!

Too good for the G League and not good enough for the NBA, he might be the next Jimmer.

Nah Rockets should keep him, he has almost no trade value now it would be buy high sell low. Sheppard is only 20 he can still be a decent player esp if he grows an inch or two and improves his shot mechanics to NBA standard.

The road to improvement though begins with recognizing he sucks ass and he needs to double his workload to improve. If he drinks the koolaid of the Reedsters like Bobbythegreat who keeps making all the excuses in the world for him then he just blames others and will never improve.

Imagine shooting 27% and yet some numbskulls like Bobbythegreat and Imanimal are insisting you have almost perfect shooting mechanics and is the best shooter on the team without a doubt?

If Sheppard listens to these sycophants and believes his own farts smell like perfume then he will never improve and will be Brickpard for life.

Being scared in a glorified exhibition match is concerning. Looking worse than Jeremy Lin and Luther Head in the playoffs is quite the achievement. Send him to the G-League and keep him there for the rest of the season.

I’ll admit that last night didn’t do much for Reed’s case. When you don’t look like you belong with the G-leaguers that’s bad.

forcing shots, looks like he’s in quicksand without the ball, getting pushed around like bounty. It’s straight up bad. He’s only a rookie and you’ve got to give him next season before you really judge, but he’s definitely hurt his value as a trade asset.

For the love of God, leave the kid in the G league for more than 3 games. And someone please tell the kid to move without the ball. It’s infuriating.

people act like the G-League is some sort of magic fix

any bum can go and play well there, I don’t see how anybody takes G-League play seriously
