that's what i am talking about. I just saw the stat about the astros on ESPN they are outscoring opponents 99 - 33 in runs in this 10 game stretch. Awesome baby.
was he injured or something? He had just given up a solo HR, but it's not like he was in a terrible jam- 2 outs with nobody on.. If he wasn't injured, this seems like a pretty panicky (and dumb) move to me.
I am pretty sure he must have pulled something or just even strained it, cause he is not a rookie or someone that really panics.
I meant panicky on the part of Baker. and it sounds like the Expos are trying their hardest to lose it. Cubs 3-2, start of the 5th. 2 errors by the Expos give the cubs 2 unearned in the 4th.
Holy crap, that was a monster bomb by Beltran. Not even a doubt about it. That triple earlier in the game and his ability to tag up from 3rd were awesome. Another 9 run performance. This offense is unbelievable. Florida won their game already. Cubs still winning.
Is Beltran hurt from being hit with the pitch or did they take him out as a precautionary with the lead...
everywhere i'm hearing that the WC will either be houston or chicago. i don't understand. why is everyone discounting san francisco. they have weak schedule and we're still a game behind them.
I think it's mainly because people are hoping the Giants and Padres will beat each other up a bit. That and the fact that, after Schmidt, they don't have much pitching. Maybe even less than the Astros, since the stros at least have 2 top quality starters. This was mentioned back a bit in this thread (by Behad)
Have you looked at their schedule? 6 against the Dodgers, 6 against the Padres and 3 against the Astros. They won't last; its between Chicago, Houston and Florida.
