Don't be so sure. We've been playing awfully bad teams during this streak so I am tempering my enthusiasm. We have one of the tougher schedules for games left...three playing SF and six playing St. Louis. We have to keep playing well and more if we want to go to the playoffs. Regardless of what we do from here on out(of which I'm excited and hoping for the best), I am proud of our team. The way they have come back and got back in this thing has reinvigorated my love of the team and the game. I forgot how exciting it could be. I want more...definitely. We are streaking at the right time. We need to keep up this hot hitting and decent pitching. If we do that, then all else will fall in place. One thing for sure...it's going to be a hell of a last month of baseball!!!! This sure beats being six down and what we all thought was history with no chance of catching up!!! Boy did we guess wrong! Surf
WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy crap that was an amazing first inning! We rule! 12 in a row baby! Bring on number 13! What sucks is that we might not get to play all these games in the Pitts because of all that damn rain. I really hope a couple of days off doesn't cool off our guys. They are just SMOKING right now. Here's for a Cubbies and SF loss! Hip Hip!
That is truly a beautiful sight! Amazing, too, given how lifeless they looked just a short while ago.
hmm..... if the expos could push another run or so across the board..... they might have a shot of winning downs in a surprising pitching duel with maddux
Bottom of the 7th, Expos still up 1-0. I thought Cubs games were usually on WGN? I've looked the last couple of games and they haven't been on.
damn who would of thought that the cubs would of possibly had a shot at losing tonight? downs still in , maddux still in expos have runners on 2nd and 3rd, 1 out in the top of the 8th 1-0
