You mean to tell me that you can't accurately gauge a player's ability off one game? No way, I never would've guessed.

Dwight is not the elite defender, he was. Never said anything otherwise. He also has had a bad attitude ever since the trade deadline and it was pathetic to see him not contest Kanter's shots in OKC on Tuesday. However, I don't believe he's suddenly lost all athleticism in one season. That's rare, and if he was that hurt, the Rockets are fools to keep running an injured center out there, when they ask so much of him in their current defensive philosophy.

What I believe has happened is that he doesn't fit with the way the Rockets want to play, and he's let it affect his play on the court. Imagine you came to your company as an executive, repeatedly were asked to clean up other employees' mistakes, and your fellow employees' freeze you out frequently in meetings and projects? After awhile, feelings of resentment creep in, you start thinking why bother cleaning up their mistakes, and you start planning an exit strategy.

Of course. But team defense requires all 5 guys to do their job. All it takes is one guy not doing his to break it down.

Thanks, these are things I've been preaching all season. Good to see it in article form.

Clearly they both suck. Trade them ASAP for Lowry, Kevin Martin, and Goran Dragic. Rings for days!
