BTW isn't .11 BAC equivalent to about 3 beers for an adult male?

If so that's really not that big of a deal.

I think it depends on your weight, according to this chart, .11 would be like 5-6 beers for a 190lb guy.

Either way it is illegal. But obviously he was drunk enough to think he could make a U-Turn out of a line for a license check w/o anyone noticing. :)

I looked some stuff up apparently .08 BAC (the legal number for being a drunk driver) is equal to 1 beer per hour.

So that means he would have had to have had about 1.5 beers within an hour of driving.......

I really can't say the guy would be drunk although it's as you said illegal.

some people can get hammered on one glass, some can walk a straight line after 12 quick ones, but there's no excuse for drink driving.

I don't think it works like that RD, you have to factor in their weight. For a 190lbs guy like Redick, a .11 BAC is equivalent to 5-6 beers.

But like hooroo posted, there are people that can get hammered off of one beer and then there are people who can pull an all nighter and be fine.

your body can burn about .02 of liquor per hour, and one beer is equal to roughly .02

Basically he had a six pack in his system.

What an great post. Yeah he's only 20. So drunk driving is ok.
He can party all he wants but he can stay home and not drive.
When you drive drunk you are putting people's lives in danger!

I would say a majority of people at one time in their life have had to drive home drunk.
