he's wants to win with his friends first and make a ton money 2nd he makes ton more money elsewhere like endorsements - more rings bigger $$$ and his businesses
Its already a known fact that LeBron won't take a paycut, he wants a max contract. The Cavs might sell for upwards of 1 billion dollars, and James intends to be a majority owner I presume (or at least have a large enough share to be named sole chairman). If we can't make room for his 35% max deal, he is not coming to H-Town. Our only hope is having a bunch of ring chasers on vet mins combined with CP3 not demanding a max contract of his own, along with Cuban or some other owner throwing 20 million at Clint Capela.
known fact? i don't think so. lebron said himself once who he would take a paycut to play with before and chris paul was specifically listed as one of those names. he took less to play in miami. its not really a known fact hes just out to get max. im not sure why you're trying to make it seem like you know exactly what lebron intends to do or what he is thinking
Actually Lebron knows what he needs to do if he wants to win. He has been in the NBA for a very long time and understands that sacrifice is needed to win rings.
Lebron is smart, virtually no contending team and afford his full max unless he wants to stay in Cleveland and there's no chance of a ring in Cleveland. As pointed out, Lebron has said he'd take a paycut to play with his boys, so here we go. We have one of his boys in CP3. Harden isn't but I'm sure they have a good relationship playing with each other on the Olympic team, and Dan Tony as the coach of the Olympic team.
This was posted in another thread and I will say the same thing here that I did previously. That calculation of Capela getting 25M/per and Ariza getting 12M/per? I don't buy it. Not in this market. Further, my guess is CP has an understanding with Morey as it relates to finances and what he will be willing to sacrifice depending on WHO gets added to the roster. If LeBron is in play, CP might take a bit less. Everything counts.
Ariza at $12 and Capela at $25mil is a joke..... a jokeeeeeeeeeeeee. Not in these barren times. Remember these numbers. Bi Annual for Ariza or something similar. Capela $12-$14 mil.
Let’s be real, there are no known facts about Lebron’s free agency. He already took a paycut to sign with the big three in Miami. He said he would take a paycut to play with his friends CP3, Wade, and Melo. He’s also talked about the flexibility one year deals provides him. He isn’t Melo, who never left a penny on the table in his entire career. No one has any idea what he’s going to do.
If we don't find a way to shed anderson's salary for an expiring, Lebron won't be here next year and CF will hate Ryno forever.
So his basis for us not getting Lebron is our current salary cap roster? Has he heard of a thing called a trade? I don't think Lebron is coming here, so I don't care either way.
