It would be next to impossible to pass up Redd if that is all they are asking for. That starting lineup atleast on offense would be really really good.
I'd do that deal. With Yao in the post as the first option, Redd would cause defenders to have to play Yao honest. That would be a sick offense. Get Pietrus with the part of the mle that Landry doesn't take up and develop the rookies a bit more and I think you have a 60 win team with another year under adelman. I would glady trade the amount of shots rafer gets to redd and the amount of shots that battier gets to Alston. Yao would average 27 pts a game, tmac would average 8 assits a game and we'd have the best offense in the league under Adelman. Do it!
Dude makes too much money anyways. We'd have to throw in another player add a 3rd team to make it happen. Maybe that third team can do a SnT for that Ramon sessions badass. Redd is a capable scorer and his stock is extremely low. We should definitely give this trade a look and possibly draft a defensive specialist at the 3 to replace Battier if need be. Tmac can be the playmaker he's always been this passed year, and Redd can just run around all day without the ball, curl through screens, spot up, and just shoot. Redd could definitely fit in RA's system, and RA can definitely tailor his system to Redd's shooting abilities. I think it'd be nice. Just hard to imagine us parting with Battier. He's given us two seasons where we had 52 and 55 win seasons. His health has been great. He gives us the defensive prowess that just makes everyone want to play real defense. You're not going to get that with Redd. He was injured big time back in 06, missed 10 games last year (take it for good or bad since you know...we're used to having our stars miss 12-18 games a season), "doesn't have a good bball iq" as other posters have stated. Hmmmm but I'd still do this trade. :-D
Thank God some of you aren't the GM of this team. I can sleep safely knowing that Morey would never trade both of our primary trade chips for a spot up shooter making $15 million.
No...Redd is horrible. Watch Bucks games before you join the Redd bandwagon. If you think Tmac is a chucker...Redd is Tmac x 3 without passing skills.
Morey is slick. He won't dump your primary trade chip, Battier, for someone of Head's caliber. Morey, please steal another Scola for us please.
That's all they want for Redd? Not gonna happen as much as I would love that. We'd lose our best defender but pick up a reliable shooter.
Sorry for the double post, but if all you hear are talks on a forum, then it's just a fan's wish. This will DEFINITELY not happen. If it were a rumor, that'd be something else. This is just like all the trade proposals we have here.
What I find interesting about this rumor is that the first media reported rumor of the offseason was also with Milwaukee for Mo Williams. I know this is a fan board discussion, but I wonder if there isn't something to that. If they're hearing the Bucks are talking to the Rockets and speculating based on that.
Legit 6'6 guard who shoots 45% from inside and 39% from three-land for his career and averages 20+ pgg. Also a very good FT shooter which sounds silly to bring up but something this team definitely lacks. Most importantly he would be that LEGITIMATE 3rd scoring option. He's more than just a stand still shooter and comparing him to Luther Head is a joke. Sure, he makes way too much money but this is the kind of player that can actually make an impact and get us over the hump.
I can't help but remember Bogut high fiving the air instead of his teammates. That team is messed up and it shows. The fans there want to get rid of Mo Williams and Redd badly.
You do this trade every day of the week if you are th Rockets but there is no way that Milwaukee gives up one of the top 3-4 shooters (who actually have an all around game too) for a washed up tweener guard and a 30 year old role player.
I know its just a fan site senario but that trade would make us great. We would be the boston celtics of the west but taller. Instead of KG at 6-11, Pierce at 6-6, and Allen at 6-5. we have Yao at 7-5, Tracy at 6-8, and Redd at 6-6. When you have three star players and your team can play defense it doesn't really matter what the rest of the guys can do.
I understand the intrigue of having a good third scorer but perhaps if we include Head and picks instead of Battier.
No way of that happening. The 25th pick coulld be useful for them but Head is even less likely of to be of any use to them after his atrocious playoff performance. His contract is also much smaller than Battier.
