Be interesting to see who Grady brings out to pitch the 7th. Does he stay with Embree or go with someone else? I think it is too early to use Timlin but we will see soon.

How about Pedro from here on in and have Wakefield pitch Game 7 if necessary?

Heck yeah...well, at least one of these LCSes.

I'm actually avidly watching non-Astros baseball for the first time in my life.

McCarver actually said this afterward: "There are some places on the field where nobody plays." How profound, Timmy.

you know, at first i was pissed at the rest of the country seemingly wanting the cubs (and to a lesser extent the sox b/c of their streak) to get in, but i've gotta admit this stuff has got me hooked. maybe it's just b/c both series have been close and had good games and yankees/sox is always good theater, but i'm loving the playoffs right now.

and i'll say i'm loving the yankees/sox so much b/c i really don't care who wins. i hate the yankees and seeing them lose would bring me great joy, but i love these streaks the cubs/sox have going and don't want them to end. someone on ER said it "if the red sox won the world series, then they wouldn't be the red sox anymore." the curse is part of our sports history and the close, but no cigar nature of the sox is also, and we need it. so either way, i'll be glad and sad with the outcome of the series and therefore it doesn't really bother me and i'm just rooting for good games and a 7 game series at this point, and it's not disappointing. i'm probably leaning towards the sox right now, but only if the cubbies don't get in. can't have both face each other, ensuring one streak will end.
