Tried? Stro, with all his talent, is worse defensively than Howard. He didn't even materialize into a rotation player. I guess showing up at the arena constitues "trying".

For real. He was a step or two slower than Yao the entire night. Yao even beat him down the court on a fast break once.

It's no wonder America has a backlash against "political correctness." If you guys think the Rowdies are being politically incorrect for this chant at a sporting arena, you are personally responsible for taking out all the fun in life. ;)

IT'S SPORTS! Relax a little and have some fun.

Screaming about monkies at Deke ...politically incorrect.

Chanting about getting traded ...NOT politically incorrect. Besides, it worked. Slomile had another lack luster game. :D

I think clutch and the rowdies should make a page on the site with routines that there gonna do for certain players and for certain teams and such sorta like a rule book for fans

That just might be the worst idea EVER. The only chants that would get approved would be "nice shot."

    Give me a break!

Stromile never showed professionalism while he was here given his lack of effort ...why should we show him proffessionalism in return? As a rockets fan, I'm angry about his lacksidasical approach to basketball. Good riddenance.

    HOUSTON REJECT!!!!

I can't believe the Rowdies are taking heat in here for the Stromile chant. Some of you need to change your panties. Go to a Knicks or Sixers game and listen to what comes out of their fans mouths.

As long as they aren't vulgar they should say whatever they want to as long as it is not offensive to kids in the area.

i don't know how it came across on TV, but the arena was very loud overall for this game

True the guy wasn't bad to the orginazation as a person, but as a player he wasted our time. So what if they heckeled him. He gets millions of dollars to play a game so he needs to handle the pressure and the jeers at the same time.

It's just stating the facts, that's all.

I wouldn't mind the chants if I was making the kind of dough he makes...

Personally, I wanted to chant "Swift's a softie," but it never got any traction.

I could hear the on TV but couldn't always make out what was being said. I thought I heard "Houston tradebait" at one point.

As long as the guy is wearing the opposing team's jersey anything outside of race and religion should be fair game. I could understand not taunting him if he played here for a long time or helped bring a championship, but a one year bench player should be taunted without mercy when he returns.

He never showed it to any ball club either. That's the way he is, he's soft, mentally. It wasn't his fault to be signed here, it should be CD's if that's the case.

Don't get me wrong here. I don't like Swift, he's one of low IQ players, always gets lost in defense rotation as well as offense. There's no need to call him a 'reject'. We're not in barbaric age anymore.

And what exactly would Stro's "best" be? A highlight-reel dunk followed by a handful of missed 10-footers and a few defenses lapses and half-hearted trots down the court after a miss? He's the Joe Barely Cares of Benoit Benjamin or Michael Olawakandi of this decade. All skill and no heart.

It's hard for me to imagine Stromile Swift becoming enraged enough to actually make a difference in the outcome of a game.

i have nothing to add as far as chants go, but i want to say how happy i am that there are rowdies this year. i love that some are members as well, giving CF.net even more power!

it's amazing that i can sit at my computer in NY, come up with a really funny chant and hear it on TV the next game.

    brilliant! :p
