One thing we already knew but that Morey made blatantly obvious in the interview is that we believe cap flexibility is VERY important for 2016.
Morey basically keeps hinting at what everyone here already knows, we're going hard after Durant in 2016. Rest are just PR friendly answers.
"He's a solid shooter. A lot of that is him having to do a lot himself. When his feet are set, D is loaded up on others, he's an accurate shooter. He can play off of James." This is a key point. I am assuming Rockets did the breakdown and found that his 3pt% is much better when his feet are set. I wonder how much difference there really is.
*(What's left to do?) There are some signings probably before camp. You can get up to 20. We're at 14 right now. There will probably be some signings, not sure we'll get all the way to 20. If an opportunity comes like Ty Lawson, we have to jump on those but they're fairly rare between now and November 1st. This quote is a bit telling on where they are headed in terms of Harrell & his impact on the cap - hard cap or not. It appears they wont hard cap themselves if they are bringing in several more bodies who have to be paid , even if they are just partial guarantees.
