Wow....no, no and no. I've only seen bits and pieces of the original and was just a little kid when it first premiered. But I know enough to understand the significance of the movie for people old enough to understand the gravity of the Cold War. The original might only be above average to good, but this looks like an uninspired, dated piece of crap. North Korea, really?!?! <div><iframe frameborder="0" width="576" height="324" src="http://d.yimg.com/nl/movies/site/player.html#repeat=0&vid=30244194&browseCarouselUI=hide&startScreenCarouselUI=hide&shareUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fmovies.yahoo.com%2Fmovie%2Fred-dawn-2010-2%2Ftrailers%2Fred-dawn-theatrical-trailer-30244194.html"></iframe></div>
The action looks top notch sure, but everything else looks pretty boring. Maybe if Chris Hemsworth goes Thor on them, then I might be interested.
They changed it so as not to offend China and the unlikelyhood of getting into released there. North Korean invasion is ridiculous.
1984 called and wants its joke back. Also wanted me to tell you that they're impressed you remembered. Also, FFB, if you're reading, the original Red Dawn was the first PG-13 movie EVER!!
Don't have sound, I'll watch later. I saw Red Dawn for the first time a few weeks ago. Pretty bad movie IMO, but in the context of the time I can see how it would be very interesting. I would love a remake though, there are never enough good war movies IMO. I thought the acting and dialogue was pretty pathetic in the original, but the plot was very interesting, probably could have built up the invasion a little more though...
