man, we all know religion has no place in government...

it's not good to make all your decisions based on ideology...you get in trouble doing that kind of stuff. do i believe that all the republicans candidates this this way??? No...but it seems like it's the only way to get the nominee. I know most of the candidates dont think this way, cuz some of them arent even supporting bush anymore

    You are quite incorrect.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_states_and_blue_states

Check out the tables on voting demographics in the middle of the page.

If anything, people with college degrees tend to vote more for Bush. Those with Doctorates leaned towards Kerry.

Bush also got 40 percent of the urban vote, Kerry got 40 percent of the rural vote. Yes there is a clear pattern here but hardly the "all hicks vote for GOP" phenomenom that you seem to embrace.

I'm going to very un-PC here and point out the black vote. Using your own logic - blacks, who statistically have lower levels of academic achievement, are the only demopgraphic which voted one way by greater than 2 to 1 margin. Blacks also statisically have higher than average church attendance rates. They largely voted Democrat. I'm not disparaging the black Democrat vote but just pointing out the fallcies of your "observations" about religious, dumb hicks.
